dont see why people put scott brooks on blast for nonstop isos in close games

phil jackson didnt have any problem with letting his stars iso, putting the ball in your best players hands is usually the best option

players play the game. weve seen  great teams  win inspite of they coach.  i dont think those okc squads didnt win chips because of coaching.
so you think players can just go out there and play pick up and win a title?

please name a team that did that

Scott Brooks running ISO's for KD in the 4th worked 8/10. They'd run a pin down for him, or a 1/3 screen with KD and Russ. You have to switch that, and KD will normally be able to win that matchup.

That just doesn't work on a Greg Popovich led team because of rotations, versatility and discipline. And the 2012 Thunder were simply overmatched against the 2012 Heat. Untimely injuries, and being the 3rd best team of the last 5 or so years is the reason OKC hasn't won, not Scott Brooks.

Bron goes 1-4 flat with a screener late in the fourth. It's all reactive.

I've seen KD decimate teams in the 4th quarter to win close playoffs games.

the miami heat a few years ago. never said coaching doesnt matter but great teams can win with average coaching.
average coach because he had 3 star players? or average coach because he wasnt popular before the big 3?

was doc rivers considered an average coach when he won in boston, because his teams were horrible before that?

yes spo is an average coach.

. celtics didnt win because of doc rivers. doc has been overrated since he won a chip in boston and is indeed an average coach.  those teams won in spite of the coach not because.

The new KD will probably turn the other cheek on OKC and go home to D.C. The KD from about 2 years ago will stay in OKC.

It really depends on which KD you get this upcoming offseason

. He's been going through an identity crisis (at least from a publicity standpoint) lately.
He's been in the spotlight since he was 17. Dude is 26. All the stars in this media era have had their media issues. Bron, Kobe, etc. Have these reporters always drumming up **** and in your face daily has to be tiring.

he played Kendrick perkins, who had a torn groin 25 mins per.. a player who already wasn't a good matchup play and has horrible mobility, with a torn groin

nick collision was on the 2012 team.. the team also had harden and Thabo (which would have allowed them to slide KD to the 4, and Thabo could have handle some of the LeBron duties on the defensive end)

also by playing small, he would have forced wade to have to guard either westbrook or harden (and not allow wade just take it easy on defense vs Thabo)

in spite of all of the above, only game 5 of that series was unwinnable for the thunder.. now imagine if they had an actual "above average coach"

I think the doc is on the good coaching tier. If I were grading, he'd be a B to B+ coach.

Spo and Brooks are C+/B- coaches to me.

Doc's plays he draws coming out of timeouts are only second to Pop.

AD's been good with me and it'll stay that way unless he signs with the Lakers or something like that

@APgelston: 76ers prez Sam Hinkie says Joel Embiid's should miss the season. But he should recover from broken right foot in 5-8 months.

Durant is lethal, but he needs an efficient big in order to win a chip.
His game speaks to one side of the floor, and that conversation isn't multilingual.
Anthony Davis, but that will never happen.
That tandem, yeah, multiple chips, even with Dellavadova at the point.
Russ, he needs Magic LeBron Johnson James.
And that would be all.
Well, three other guys.
JR Smith, Beasley, Greg Oden.
Russ full speed, all the time, LeBron three quarter speed, all the time.
Everyone else plays catch up, and then just guard the rim.
That would be fun to watch.
Ray Allen off the bench.
See aisle 4 for more information.

"There's something happening here.. But what it is ain't exactly clear"

How is it too much of a distraction?

Nothing but love for KD in the DMV.

IMO, it's 75% chance he re-signs w/ the Thunder and 25% he signs with the Wizards.

i get it your from the area so this will be hard to understand but KD has said out his mouth he hates coming home. said he just hates it.
Yeah, if Lebbywinks could go "home" after how he left the first time, I see no reason KD would have problems.

Please dont compare Bron and KD...
Kd is coming home guys. That's one reason wiz traded for Kelly Oubre on draft night. Him and Kd are close

 the **** are you talking about?????

I wouldn't compare either of those Bulls or Lakers squads to how OKC's "offense" operates

Of course ISO's are a part of basketball but OKC literally runs nothing, and it's been going on for years. If you look back at every series thread I'm sure you'll see comments that they're literally giving Russ the ball one time down the court 1 on 4 and then next possession let KD do the same thing

The triangle allowed for ISO's but in opportune times and positions according to the defense. Not to where a guy is going 1 v 5 like OKC has been doing
