Saying it's hard going home and hating going home are two COMPLETELY different things, bruh. You're moving the goalposts....

i said my fault...

but i dont see why DC heads are hyping up the city for this event so much.

kd aint leaving the best pg in the world to go play with another pg who will never find a consistent jumpshot and a sg who might never take that next step

Russ can't shoot either.

& Beal already took that next step during the playoffs, you trippin.

Never knew KD played with Cp3/Steph.

Everything else you're saying does hold some weight though. Particularly Beal taking the "next step".

If Beal can make the jump Klay Thompson did last year and stay healthy this year...DC become VERY intruiging.

You can't be this dense to not understand why folks in the DC area would hype up a potential KD signing.

Bottom line, there's a chance he'll sign here. EG, has done a good job manipulating the cap and keeping more than enough space to sign a marquee FA after this season. If you have a chance at a player like KD, you go all in. The Wizards will try, so we'll see what happens. Even if he doesn't sign, there is enough money to spend to bolster the roster.

*also...in regards to Beal. Dude JUST turned 22. Going into his 4th year as a pro and he had one year of college under his belt. Before Oubre got drafted, Beal was the youngest guy on the roster. This season, there is no reason for him not to be a 20ppg scorer. We saw him elevate his game in the playoffs...just gotta hope that it carries over to the season.

Heard someone say this somewhere, but is Beal getting the same kinda hype Eric Gordon had a few years ago? Before he got injured?

Whitman be holding beal back with all the useless side P&R he had Brad run with Nene.

Hopefully, Whitman did that just to make Beal more comfortable with the ball and a better secondary ball handler. We all know about "Playoff Whittman". Maybe he just trolls in the regular season

High on Brad though. I think he can take that next step...but I also understand his limitations. Health and being consistent are paramount. Feels like he can nave really get a rhythm going.

beal was supposed to be that consistent 20+ scorer wall could rely on

if he doesnt show it this season i doubt he ever will

Playoff Wittman > Regular Season Wittman

For whatever the reason, dude becomes competent when the regular season ends.

If DeRozan can average 20 then so can Beal. That's an arbitrary number anyway. If you put Beal on a team like Toronto he'll be scoring more for sure

KD is staying with OKC his whole career unless they mess something up

That's probably the most likely scenario, but there's no guarantees. If OKC fails to at least reach the Finals this year with a new coach and everyone healthy, I don't see why KD wouldn't at least consider going elsewhere. He may not end up doing it, but he might think about it.

KD and Russ have never had any chemistry. Doesn't mean they should be a part or that they can't win

I just believe it is fact that they have not looked cohesive, like ever. Again, probably Brooks' fault

All they do is take turns going one on one. They never seem to play off each other or make each other better

He gets his looks in DC...but his shot selection could be better.

I think a lot of us Wizards fans want to see more of what Beal did in the playoffs. That's cut back on the long 2's and embrace the 3 pointer. There were flashes of brilliance from him in both the Toronto and Atlanta series.

If he can put up better than 20ppg on 45% from the floor and over 40% from 3, then I think we'll see Washington get that much closer to eclipsing 50 wins. Obviously, team health plays heavily into that scenario, but I have a lot of faith in Beal to make a leap this season.

True

okc has a better team but i think wall would be a better fit playing with kd then westbrook is.

Yeah Wall would help KD out more then RW can and vice versa.

The foolishness....

I always knew players peaked at 23 years old.
most players enter their prime by the 4th season, its not about age its the experience

derozan is a #1 option, which beal was drafted to be

I'm just saying, 20 PPG is a random number in general. Beal took 13.5 shots per game while DeRozan took 16.5

DeRozan usage: 28.4

Beal usage: 22.5

Beal can get to 20 if he played in Toronto
