Actually there were a few of us that we're trying to defend the trade vs the narrative most people and bill Simmons believed 'the worst trade ever'
We simply said, maybe we should wait and see how Adams and lamb pan out.. And what the draft pick turned out to be (Mitch).. Then you had albrines
Then we simply pointed out some recent trades (like how dame got in Portland and how kyrie ending up on the cavs).. And older ones (how magic got on the lakers or Kobe on the Lakers)
Everyone knew (or should have known) Kevin Martin was a stop gap player and lamb was supposed to be the long term SG.. But of course brooks was involved, so he thought he would play Martin like he did harden..
But brooks stupidly didn't remember that he only played harden that way because Eric maynor got hurt and he essentially didn't have a backup point
And the thunder did have a better record the year after trading harden and were the number 1 seed in the west.. And put up better offensive effiencey numbers.. Unfortunately Westbrook got hurt the 2nd game of the playoffs
