We won't appreciate this dude until he is dead and gone. He gets a lot of grief but me personally, don't enjoy watching anyone on the offensive end since Jordan retired.

I dont see Melo being the type to win a championship but it is what it is. I don't feel the need to constantly harp on him about his shortcomings. I like him, he's one of the best and I really enjoy watching him play. Nothing about his personality is off-putting to me either. Seems like a cool dude.

The only knocks I have on his persona was forcing a trade to the Knicks and the cheap shot on Collins and running away
He decimated the Knicks roster for no good reason when he simply could have signed with them the following season. They could have had a pretty intriguing team. That was a bit foolish on his part

Neither has Phil Jackson. Why else would he put so much faith in coming back with the Knicks? He knows what type of player he has to build around. It's the NBA fans that have been drinking the "hate Melo kool-aid" all these years, and don't even realize how good this dude is. They will tho eventually IMO. The rebuild is off to a great start...

09' Nuggets are one of the best teams to never win it.
If Kenyon Martin doesn't foul Kobe up 1 with 30 seconds left. Then gets his inbound pass stolen...we woulda went to the finals and washed Orlando. Still blows me to this day.
Kobe Vs Melo was a lot of fun to watch though.
