Man Kevin Love was considered the best PF in the game before he got used improperly last year and IMO lost his confidence. 3time All Star , 2time All NBA Second Team and video game numbers on the regular.

TT when he was the starter before this year has done nothing. Dude aint worth or shown he has the potential to get the 80 on the table they giving him which is laughable and outlandish in it self. Man MOSGOD, KLOVE, and Andy are more valuable to the Cavs than this dude. All I wanna know is since when do cats that average 10 a game with the no offensive skill get max level contracts? Dude was to get paid to be the 13th highest when he aint even the 13 best PF in the L.

It must suck to lose to him every damn year.

srs
Our players were injured though..

Something some Cav's "Fans" always used as an excuse against the Warriors, very much didn't accept the Bulls' excuses due to injuries also.

They know now how injuries hurt your team.

2008 Draft Class is pretty good. Most aren't megastars / franchise cornerstones, but a lot of contributing players came from that class

Rose, OJ, Russ, K Love, Deandre Jordan, Danilo, Eric Gordon, DJ Augustine, Brook Lopez, Robin Lopez, Mo Speights, Roy Hibbert, Serge Ibaka, Batum, Ryan Anderson, JJ Hickson had some great moments in the league, Darrell Arthur is a quality stretch 4,

Timofey was in this class and didn't get drafted. Anthony Morrow is a solid rotation player. One of my favorite Drafts in recent memory along w/09'

If lebron is intentionally trying to get the owner to overpay his friends, why do people feel sorry for him when he "doesn't have enough help"?

Man this is way too true.

I mean why would he try and get the Cavs to sew up that kind of dough in Tristan?

All it takes is a couple of injuries and the teams back is against the wall....

Lebron needs to get out of his own way on this one.

Yeah, Love is bound to get his shoulder dislodged by another arm bar this year. Nice try though

Again, why would anyone be more upset with Tristan wanting more money than Dan gilbert not parting with more money? Tristan wants 14m more over 5 years. The Cavs franchise value is at almost a billion and increased by 78% in one year.
I don't think folks care much if Comic Sans Dan has to spend more money. It's the fact that TT just isn't worth close to a hundred million just to grab rebounds. Nope, not worth it.
Precisely.

It'd be less shocking to hear Love demand $200 million over 5 years

"Only a tax issue". There are other rich owners in the league that don't give out 4-5 max contracts. For a reason
If your franchise has zero NBA titles in its history and you acquire one of the greatest players ever, spare no expense.

The money from a title run or two (more leverage in local TV contract negotiations & sponsorship negotiations, championship merchandise, extra playoff games, ability to increase ticket prices, etc) > the luxury tax savings.

"dan i want you to spend all your money resigning all my friends"

3 years later

"dan wtf why do we have no cap space? I need more help"
What is causing you to say this? How has Lebron forced ownership to give Thompson that money? It's obvious Lebron is not involved considering Thompson skipped out on Lebrons camp

Love was going to get kept no matter what

Same with Irving
