Bright Beginnings@sunnystarts Sep 25 Washington, DC

Thank you @JohnWall for your generous donation to BBI's second child development center in SE DC! #JWFF
This morning, Washington Wizards point guard, John Wall surprised our organization and BBI Executive Director, Dr. Betty Jo Gaines with a generous donation of $400,000. This phenomenal contribution will significantly impact the development of Bright Beginnings’ second child development center at 3418 4th Street SE in Ward 8.

“Support from individuals like Mr. Wall, gives Bright Beginnings the encouragement to continue to provide comprehensive services for homeless children in the District of Columbia. It is evident that John Wall is sensitive and concerned about the plight of homeless children in DC and he wants these children to succeed.” – Bright Beginnings Executive Director, Dr. Betty Jo Gaines

Proudly displayed at the new BBI center will be the John Wall, Wall of Achievement, highlighting the everyday moments of greatness Bright Beginnings students accomplish, in addition to the legacies left behind by high school and college graduates who were once BBI toddlers and preschoolers. Bright Beginnings will also name a classroom in Mr. Wall’s honor. The new Bright Beginnings child development center is scheduled to open its doors in 2017.

Derrick had Joakim laughing at him at the :30 second mark.

Some people get quiet when they get nervous.

Obviously Derrick isn't one of those guys.

He blabs and blabs and blabs and blabs and blabs and blabs when nervous.

He should have stopped at "I've had tunnel vision as far as working out"

Instead he nervously rambles on about PJ and him being financially secure.

You can hear the look and surprise in that reporters voice? He prompted the reporter to say shockingly "you're already thinking about free agency?"

I hate, listening to Isaiah Thomas. I hate when he says something and then laughs how he does(after every comment), but I'm so glad to hear and see him on the tele right now.

NBA is back!, my tickets though, where are my God damn tickets, they always come with the team schedule Refrigerator magnets that I like to give out

Side note: **** the Warriors

Drastically out of shape?

He can't even play basketball man. Drastically out of shape is DEFINITELY a reflection of that.

You think he's just sitting around eating potatoe chips on the couch because he's lazy
Getting in shape is easy for a guy like him, he's not years out of shape G.

as a miami born/raised/still here dude never spent a night outside of dade county except for this one night stand in fort lauderdale and 2 times i went to disney world with my mom lmao . either way i friccin LOVE the miami heat since i was a kid and i was watching glen rice or the tim hardaway , zo , pj brown , jamal mashburn era .....i love the heat but OMG DO I HATE that we are the only team in the nba with this dumb crap dancing around , singing , wearing costumes , like bruh its SO OLD PLEASE GET BACK TO THE SERIOUSNESS , please be that serious team thats busy plotting to have the biggest free agency periods like they have had in the past , please go back to leaving cap space open for the kevin durants in the world instead of paying chris bosh 120 mil and bums like dragic to long term contracts. please please get back to the seriousness man or we are going to be the atlanta hawks of the past 10-15 years , good enough for the playoffs EVERY year but never win a chip . smh /endrant

Quick thoughts for the upcoming season:

- Either the Spurs or the Warriors will hoist up the Trophy next June

- Pelicans will be an 8th or 7th seed at best.

- Thunder will make the playoffs but won't get passed the 2nd round.

- T-Wolves & Bucks will be fun to watch this season

- Knicks won't win more than 30 games this season

- This will be LeBron's last year of dominance in the East until KD goes to DC next season

- KD in DC marks the inevitable end of the "Bron Era", thankfully

- Expect an excess amount of Curry impersonators next few years.

-clippers , rockets , cavaliers and thunder so dont give up the trophy so quick

-pelicans can be as good as 5 seed if anthony davis goes 03-04 kevin garnett already

-thunder will get to western conf. finals minimum , kd and russ can od and they can win it all , but if they dont go 2 mvp's on one team every night then the thunder will lose to whichever unit in the west was cohesive enough to get to the WCF

-zach lavine/wiggins & giannis&parker will be fun to watch idk about everyone else lol except maybe KAT if hes anything and middleton is my dude

-knicks might not even win 20 even with healthy carmelo dropping 40 a game (people forget he will give up 5 more points then what he makes always)

-KD isnt going anywhere . him and westbrook both stay mark my words

-i dont think there is anyone else that can shake off three defenders and then take an unbalanced three point shot , 5 feet behind the line and make it , impersonators that will miss that shot have always existed.....jr smith , josh smith , etc .

my bold prediction for the nba season next year , kings make the playoffs and boogie has a mini prime shaq year , 24-25 ppg , 11ish rebs , 2.5 assists , 1.5 blocks . 1.0 steals per game easy ........that team is a perfect fit for rondos gameset and cauley stein is what they needed ....him and boogie inside will be a problem theyre going to become one of the grittier teams overnight with rondo and willie on board , rondo will get that aura he got from kg,pp,perkins those years the celts won the chip

Pelicans aren't better than Warriors, Spurs, Thunder, Rockets, Clippers or Grizz.

Thunder have two great players and the rest are whatever. TEAM basketball won the last two chips and will win the next few as well.

KD will leave OKC for a full TEAM in DC. Why stay w/ Russy and fight over shot selection for the remainder of his career.

Bucks went to the playoffs w/o J. Parker. Add him this year and they'll make some noise in the East.

If the T-Wolves mesh like how I think they will. I can see them fighting for the 8th seed w/ the Pelicans come April.

We certainly agree about the Knicks. Melo will do his usual ball stopper shtick and ruin the potential chemistry btwn Zings and co. into the ground.

Kings making the playoffs is stretch. Sorry I just don't see it. 10th seed at best.
