Will people stop saying that Harden was traded for a bunch of bums and people that aren't on the team anymore... He was traded for one person Serge Ibaka the rest were just asset collection.

If Ibaka flops then it was a bad "trade."

Gerald Henderson has the same agent as LMA.

Reasonable to believe he's in the loop with the moves they're making. Vonleh could be a pairing next to him, with Gerald fillin in for Batum.

CJ steps up further, get a decent piece at 23, they could be fine. Isn't just automatic they ALL bounce.

You were the first person I thought about after the Nic Batum trade.

I remember you going at Portland radio dudes throats about how high they were hyping him.

You know me.

To them, he was Scottie/Dr. J/Durant/Kawhi all wrapped into one.

They trade him, and now they excited about Gerald and Vonleh. (They just can't pronounce his name cuz they truly have no idea who he is  ). I'll never understand these people.

Really? Most of the dudes I've heard were upset as hell about the trade. One of them called Batum a top 5 three point shooter in the L... another said he's a defensive juggernaut...

:x

Wonder if they've watched a single game over the last three seasons?

I had the afternoon 1080 guys on, and some guy I never heard of was bein interviewed. Their knowledge of Vonleh was "he's 19, and a top 10 pick last year".

They could have easily kept both if Clay Bennett was willing to pay the Tax, that outweighs the impact that Serge Ibaka had on the trade.

Another popular wrong belief.. The issue wasn't ibaka or harden.. They tried to sign both.. Ibaka signed.. Okc kept negotiating with harden

The being cheap part was regarding the refusal to amnesty Perkins

I know they tried to sign both, and if they amnestied Perkins they could have. Thats the least impactful part because they just thought that guy had real value on the floor and I cant really knock them for believing so. I'll make fun of them for it sure, but eh. He had a "Championship pedigree"

but to say that Kevin Martin and Jeremy lamb had ANY determining weight to the deal is false.

That was the best package at the time that they could get for a guy that that they couldn't afford because they "chose" Ibaka and you had a cheap *** owner

The good ol' if OKC wasn't cheap and kept Harden topic.
I like when it comes up because it reminds me that the right thing happened.

He could have stayed, the money per year wasn't that different, just 5 years and your own team compared to 4 years and a bench player.

I don't know if it is possible for a Player to sign elsewhere for less money but if it is and Houstons offer would have been less money, and Harden could have taken it, he would've

They made offers to both.. Ibaka signed his offer..

THEN they continued negotiating with harden.. Going as high 4 years 54-56 mill.. The max they could have given him was 4 years 60 mill

If they wanted to avoid having to pay the luxury tax or the repeat offender penalties.. That is where using the amnesty on Perkins came in

Another big part of the trade was the lottery pick that was used to get adams.. That pick was originally Toronto's pick and I assume the thinking was they would be worse than they were that season (ended up being the 12th pick)

But looking back on that draft, Adams is one of the few picks that worked out

@SpearsNBAYahoo: The Nuggets have made injury plagued but offensively talented forward Danilo Gallinari available for trade, a source told Yahoo Sports.
