i think the real answer in here is that people on NT underrates Klay and overrates Dragic but that's just me

Klay didn't entirely disappear in the Finals. He played well Game 1 and 2. And his defense was pretty good other than Game 6.

Pretty much, it would give Tim Less to do on Defense besides protect the rim, and also take a share of the load off him for post offense. Its crazy to think that in 2015 Tim Duncan really was our paint defense along with Splitters down year the only post threat we had.

It's impossible for EVERYONE to play well. Steph, Klay, Dray, Iggy, Barnes, etc can't all be shooting lights out at the same time in the finals. They all took turns throughout the series. Klay being on the floor is a threat at all times. He didn't "disappear".

Luke is the non-guaranteed contract the thunder need.. We didn't have a roster spot for whoever we end up with tonight
Also wanted to free up money for more important guy(s).. I think we still try to unload pj3 and Novak, both don't really have a need on this roster
Plus frees up money.. And I know presti likes to keep one roster spot open
