@ dudes think we're hurt over not getting Aldridge.

If you go to the Laker thread, you'd see many of us (ahem, like me) have said Aldridge won't be a difference maker for us so it's not a big deal.

is this kind of like the same situation as the Lakers reporter saying the Lakers were going to "pass on Cousins" after Divac said 20 times that he wasn't going to be traded?

This is the key. Lakers still using the Byron Scott "back when I played" way of doing things.

Getting D'Angelo is a start, they need to go all in with current way to play ball. Get off their old way of doin things.

Can't see that happening with Byron as coach.

Trust me, the fans seeking "headlines" might be hurt, the ones seeking a long term successful franchise ain't trippin over not getting Aldridge for max money.
This.

We didnt really want him in the first place.

Let's let SA or PHX waste their time and money on that guy.

I hate you and Chester right now

I wish I knew exactly what we went on in some of these FA meetings. It would make for a nice story  Like what exactly is said and shown to the FA.

The Suns' two-hour meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge has ended. Aldridge was "very engaged," source said. Phoenix feels it's still in mix.
