Everybody sees the light at the end of the tunnel when they're broke down, barely hanging on, and one breath away from collapsing on the court again.
 
kobe wasnt smart obviously. wats his SAT score, i mean ACT. did he even bother to take an exam? same as as DROSE? shaq a doctorate or something right?
 
I don't think Shaq and Kobe left any titles on the table. They could have loved each other, and it wouldn't have helped.

Very possible you're correct. In my mind I feel like they could have possibly won a few more. Specifically the year Shaq won in Miami and the year the Spurs swept the Cavs
 
LA at that time was struggling because their cast were a bunch of older guys. Kinda like the oldies at parks that would school young egotistical cats at pick up games. But guys like Fisher and Payton were just old. Mgmt knew this, and continued to go with washed up guys. Man, those days of Fisher getting the Revis treatment were tough to watch. The duo of Shaq n Kobe was proally the best ever, but Shaq was obviously batman, wait, Superman. We‘ve been through this already. You need bigs to win. Anyone that has played elementary basketball knows that they always pick size first.

Eh, Miami won with Shaq/Wade with a bunch of old guys

Lakers could have re tooled but it is what it is. They weren't meant to be
 
If the personalities don't mesh there's nothing you can do about it.

Does Kobe really think if Shaq had back injury he'd be fighting through it so he could grind out an 8 seed playoff sport only to get scapegoated by the entire laker fan base?

Becuase I remember a phrase like "if I get hurt on company time I rehab on company time. " coming from shaq. :lol:
