D Russ throwing 1st pitch at Dodger game tonight. Predicting it takes to bounces to get to the catcher.

I wonder if most Laker Nation has heard his quote by now

SAS is crazy depth too, but they have guys taking less pay to win something. The culture their breeds chemistry. Cant say the mix for the Clippers. Might we remind ourselves, that looking good and deep on paper doesnt equate to success. I dont know how adding washed up guys equate to depth. Its mote like,.can DeAndre fix his IQ awareness on rebounds and hit FTs.

The shooting on the 2nd unit may have aftually gotten worse. The 2nd unit will probably have just as much trouble scoring but the difference is they should be pretty good defensively and maybe can create easy points off turnorvers.

The bench was giving up leads and extending deficits almost every time last season. I'd expect it to be a bit better but I don't see much a difference offensively.

Gonna need rivers and/or Dawson to hopefully develop a respectable 3 pt shot sometime soon.

it was a terrible role in Toronto for Rudy. He was asked to do way too much. He isn't very good as THE MAN on the team, we saw that in Toronto and i've seen it happen in Sacramento when Cousins isn't playing.

But when he is playing a complementary role like he did in Memphis and like he does playing with Cousins, he can be very good. His numbers in Sacramento have been great
This. Dude killed during his last season on memphis. They sent him to toronto to resurrect that dump of a team. They wanted too much from him. I think he would do well at the Bulls, but I don't wanna give up Doug especially considering he is young and we haven't see what he can bring to the team and Rudy is getting up there in age. I remember in 2k I pulled off a crazy trade in Nba 2k association where I was able to Bring Rudy and OJ to the Bulls to play with Rose. Rudy won scoring title, OJ won 6th man and Rose won MVP. :smokin

Clips aint even that good on paper. A bench with austin rivers, crawford, lance stephenson, Wes johnson and chuck hayes? That is atrocious. They had their shot two years ago, that ship has sailed. No pun intended

Lance a C grade variant of Artest. *** about Uncle PP forward leaning shot? His voice dry as hell.

1. Clips choked against okc

2. Clips choked against hou

3. Clips had no depth

Those are pretty commonly shared sentiments regarding the Clippers and they are true. Where are these excuses coming from?

Josh Smith too. If that's atrocious then whatever they had last year must have been the worst in NBA history by your standards

Saying the Clippers aren't good on paper is all I need to hear from you though

A team that has a core of CP, Blake, DJ, JJ and PP, if that's not considered "good" then I guess I'll let you live in your own world

Don't understand why the starters are being mentioned when the subject is the bench. Austin and lance were two of the worst players in the league last year. Lance has potential for a revival but he needs the ball in his hands to be effective and it's not gonna happen with that roster. Wes and chuck are also hot garbage. NT has been clowning Josh smith for years, I actually like him but he doesn't put a team over the top. Clipper fans themselves talk down on crawford. Team is soggy buns and will be lucky to reach the 2nd round

Eh, Clippers beat them last year with an even worse bench. So before you remind anyone of anything, you should remind yourself of that first

Not one man is going to put LAC "over the top". Having more bodies that can add a specific element to the team will improve them overall so that the starters aren't completely depended upon to do eveything

Smith had a really solid post season, he showed he can handle the ball, pass and still play defense. Lance as "the man" in Charlotte crashed and burned. Now he can go back to being a 6th man where he flourished with Indy. He can come off the bench and create, something Rivers and Crawford were asked to do but were not capable. PP still has one more year left in him to hit big shots. They have never really had a mid range jump shooter

Austin Rivers, as bad as I ragged on him last season, had some great playoff games. Obviously he had bad ones too but with one year of playoff experience hopefully he has less of those terrible ones

For as many reasons as you could praise the Clippers for winning that series you could find an equal amount of things that would back the notion that the Spurs simply threw it away

Clippers threw away that Houston series too

I felt like the Spurs were definitely better than Houston

Austin and jamal were there last year. Wes and chuck are no better than the guys they're supposed to be replacing. If lance is good it will be at the expense of someone else's production. From the Charlotte games I watched the problem was that he wasn't the man and didn't have the ball enough. He's most effective as a playmaker which means you take the ball out of cp or blake's hands. They've never had a midrange shooter?....aren't paul blake and jj 3 of the best from midrange at their position? The problem with the clippers year in and year out is that their roster is always unbalanced, just a bunch of names thrown together and that hasn't changed

Why do you keep mentioning Wesley Johnson and Chuck Hayes. Hayes will probably never see the floor and Johnson is just another body to throw out there to defend. Smith and Lance are the guys who will be getting the most action off the bench, along with Rivers and Crawford

Who's production will Lance take away? Jamal Crawford or Austin Rivers? That's not going to hurt the team overall. Lance for all intents and purposes is probably going to be a bench player, so that's not going to negate Paul or Blake to the degree you think it will

Not so sure about that. The Clippers also choked a game away in the Spurs series. They hold on to that one, maybe it doesn't even go 7.

Except johnson can't defend. You said they go more than 10 deep, listed all 15 guys and said they have one of the best benches. Now you're saying it's just smith/lance/rivers/crawford. Rivers is buns, crawford is considered buns by clip fans and notoriously bad in the postseason. Lance was absolute trash last year and smith was decent at times. So I can't see how their bench is so good

They do go 10 deep and I do believe they have great depth, 1-15

CP, JJ, PP, Blake, DJ

Rivers, Crawford, Lance, Smith, Aldrich

That's 10 deep to me. With the chance that Wilcox shows something as well

I'm saying why do you keep mentioning 3rd string players like Johnson and Hayes? They're not going to get many minutes

You can't see how their bench is good because you're taking a simplistic approach to it and your view is hindered by only relying on one season for Lance

No dude, even clipper fans would tell you that rivers and Crawford are/were trash. Lance is a wildcard but coming off the season he had you can't rely on him to contribute. You say I'm looking at one season of lance but he only had one real standout year with indy, as a starter not this 6th man business you're talking about. Again he's a wildcard as is Josh smith who completely torpedoed one team while being up and down with another. Nothing about their bench is outstanding, they still have many of the same flaws as last year
