Now that I think about it, the East Coast may have the West Coast beat in one thing..nightlife.
NYC, Miami and Atlanta are all probably better places for nightlife than those 3 West Coast cities.

The burbs are nice (especially PV) but Im so glad I grew up in south central instead 
Pretty much all of the beach cities are dope to eat/grab a drink.
Thing about the nighife is we can do it 365 days a year. I went to NY in the winter and the nightlife was so dead cuz it was like 15 drgrees
Bars staying open till 4AM is dope doe

I think in NY liqour stops serving at 4AM but you can find other places past that.
Biggest flaw of LA is our nightlife ending at 2. But if you know spots you never have to go home but I wish it was an universal rule across California
