I feel like for all of these college pairs, they should have flip-flopped the medial and lateral sides so the mascot side is facing inwards and the side that looks more like a traditional XXIII is on the outside. Either that, or put the mascot faces both on the left side of the shoes, and then the more traditional side with the logo both on the right sides of the shoes, so the pairs would look different depending on which side of a person you're standing on.

Size matters, but doubtful right now. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe in a year or two? I look at this one like the 29 (a model that isnt like a 1, 3, etc but the branding of the particular PE makes it go "viral" (as far as PE's go) right away) and those 29s rarely pop up and depending on size wild variance in price.
The two things you'd have going for you in your quest is football team was included (more pairs) and football team was included (more dudes that wear smaller/"normal" sizes)

The Oklahoma PE is on ebay right now for $3k. Dude selling is willing to take $2k. Not as interested in those as I am the UNC pair.

UNC pairs always gonna be more than Oklahoma all else equal (model/size/condition). Not saying it’s impossible. Not saying it’s gospel. Just giving you my experiences.

Here are the Marquette XXIIIs. I totally agree...the mascots look kind of dumb in general, but should be on the medial side at least instead of the lateral. They still look good, though!
