Gizmodo just took Beats By Dre to the back of the shed

I love my apple earbuds. Good base and good to work out in which is all that's important to me.

I feel like Beats are for if you live with your parents or something.

This comment was also interesting....

"I still see video and audio engineers with the 7506 headphones in their gear bags.

Industry Standard....nuff sed..."

The power of marketing. The wireless studios are pretty good though, best Bluetooth headphones on the market.
i don't know about best because i havent experienced with a lot of others but they are def a good pair of headphones for casual listening. they are overpriced but they i like my pair a lot.

but def not a pair of "studio monitors"

i wish they would make the power beats with an sd card... i hate working out with a phone in my pocket.

ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

everyone should check out these... http://www.bragi.com/

coming out soon.

blue tooth wireless ear buds with no connecting cable. sd card and touch screen interface

if it has a good battery life im copping!

^^^^Surprised it took so long for someone to make just earbuds without wires. But there is no way those things are staying in my ear, let alone in my pockets where I won't lose them. Just seems like a huge risk for something so expensive.

My apple ear buds have survived quite a few wash cycles. Still going strong

Word

I'm still using the headphones from my iPhone 5 and they've been through the wash and still work fine. I don't know how dude is breaking them.

I still have my headphones from my 5 also. The new shape they used doesn't fit in my ears though. They always fall out a few seconds after I put them in so I only use Steinheiser earbuds now.

are your ears oddly shaped? they looked pretty secure from the video. she was running...they would be perfect for me as all i do is lift.

and they are priced at 300.

im excited. i've been waiting for this.

honestly i would have bought the powerbeats 2 wireless if it had an SD card.

i dont like carying my phone around.  does anyone have any suggestions for some headphones with an SD card designed for working out?

I thought it was well know that the value of Beats comes from their marketing and name, not the actual product.  Most people I know that have Beats headphones don't care that the quality is average at best, and most probably couldn't really tell the difference.  Its all about the name and the way they look.

@japejapejape  They have been rated best in class by pretty much all review sites. From the other bluetooth headphones I purchased then returned, and tried out they are much better.

Those bragi headphones will get lost so fast and most likely fall out of your ear, but if they don't and the quality is great I will probably purchase them.

yeah i don't disagree then...i was just skeptical because of all the different headphones out there its very hard to keep up.

but i really love mine.

but the bragi headphones looked to be designed very well with the actual headphone going in to the tunnel of your ear...just not very deep.

but yeah im going to wait for the user reviews...but im really excited.  i dont even use headphones at the gym because i can't find a good pair.

Most people who rag on beats are listening to the same suck quality through their "good" headphones.
If the file is bad quality headphones won't save it

@japejapejape  Yeah I use my wireless studios now they work great I hated my other wired Shure headphones. I wish they would make a pair like the powerbeats 2.

Yea that's what I was getting at.  Sure you can buy studio quality headphones for the same price, but the average listener is gonna be able to tell the difference.  Plus, most of the those companies don't market their products to the general consumer.

I'm using some Samsung earbuds that came with an old cell phone and these are better than so many other more expensive and more sophisticated headphones I've had

is there any good over ear headphones with this SD card technology in them that I never knew existed? Would love to not have my phone in my pocket during my workout :nerd:

I do have that one ear that doesn't seem to keep my earphones in. So when I run on the treadmill, I always have to jam that earbud in or just not run in them at all. It's really annoying but I really don't want to use the clamped on version.

Marketing>

TBH they really didn't even market their products when they got hot. They had good looking headphones and every athlete in the country in every major sport were rocking in TV. That's how they blew up

Beats has always been about marketing. Every athlete in the country had Beats because they got them for free. Their main form of promotion has been celebrity endorsements from the very begining.
