Official OVO x JB Thread

Now, didn't copping the MC feel so much better when you are doing it manually? lol. IMO buying a bot isn't helping the community. It's those ATC services and bots which are making it impossible for people to cop online in the first place. Take them out of the equation and everything will be fair game at least when buying online.
I totally agree. But being honest, if a shoe is going to release online the way Nike does it, there will always be a bot problem. I'd much rather be manual because half the people that wat every shoe don't know what the hell to do.
But when bs like what Adidas pulled happens, that's where going manual is annoying. If they had released the PBs the same way they released TDs, I'd have multiples. But with the random bs people that don't put in any effort at all could get with ease if they were lucky.

edit: actually let me reword all of that

If we want it to be fair, it should be completely random people selected to buy online, not a skill.

If we want to eliminate bots and ATCs and resellers, that would do it.
No need for a bot or ATC if there is no skill involved, just log on, and hope to be chosen.

That, would be fair. Who wants fair though, right

One of the cleanest all white kicks JB has released. Reminds of the all white line they made rare after 2 or 3 attempts.

Theres no point of us putting in work for online releases if its fair. I personally think that all shoes should be released on a random time on a selected day. So people like us who actually want the shoes get them rather than people who are in it to flip if they get chosen on adidas.com 30 mins after link went live, whereas some of us NTers were on the link before it tweeted with no success.

People who want them to resale or wear can't be defined by how fast it took them to log on after the link was tweeted.

I wanted a pair, was on my phone at the exact minute it was tweeted too, and didn't get a pair.

If I hadn't been on my phone when it was tweeted and happened to find out about the release and log on 30 minutes after the tweet link and I scored, that doesn't mean I'm reselling them, does it?

I'd have just as good of a chance if I was chosen randomly. I miss most of the shoes I want simply because life comes first and buying shoes takes time I can't invest most times.

But the difference is we put in the time and effort where others didnt and still scored.

false
It was a pretty limited drop yesterday location-wise. I think only the US and Canada released yesterday which is kinda weird since JB's tweet said it will be available to select retailers worldwide. Maybe there is more to come and Oct 3 could very well be the date? Let's just keep our fingers crossed

didn't see that tweet - was it deleted already ?

Nope, it's still there.

now the problem is that they said "Sep 12 globally" - they didn't say "Oct 3rd globally"
it could be the phrase "to select retailers globally" is a standard phrase used without giving much thought.
So far I have no news about China and Japan and other Asian retailers receiving these.
And not to mention European releases.
What the TND say about Oct 3rd ?

It didn't release in other countries except for the US and Canada. Don't think that counts as globally. Lol. Oct 3 is when the Jordan x OVO apparel drops and some US retailers thought that the Jordan X release was moved to that date too but it got cleared up and continued with the Sept 12 release.

except it everybody 12 Sept 2015 they released, thats it continue to live your life. Just like all those confirmed Red October restock rumors... Have Nike/JB ever had a full restock? maybe a small quarterly restock if that.

This man understands life. I'm the same way.

Either get luck in a raffle or pass. The time sink in acquiring sneakers is out of control right now.

All the power to those that have the time though, enjoy it while you can.

Enjoy that young life with no family to take care of lol. I'm moving away more and more from sneakers just due to the headache and stress

Threw patience to the side and pulled the trigger Saturday evening on an IG user who won the extra butter raffle.
I wanted to wait and pay less but,

I didnt wanna wait it out, gamble, and be even more unsuccessful than all of my attempts this wknd.

Glad all in all tho. Dude was hella cool and did business respectfully.

I would wait a while for prices to settle, since online orders havent arrived yet. Price may drop down to 6-700 by the time all orders come in.
Already have seen these prices in select sizes, I think there are a lot more pairs than people think still very limited but 80-90% of people who copped did so with the intention to sell.
