Official OVO x JB Thread

i wasn't able to cop these but if i would of i would just kept them ds as a collection piece, i wouldn't of wore them because i don't even like 10s and I'm not even into light colored shoes especially with glitter on them.

Quick soapbox for me:

I get excited seeing prices drop bc I have a strict amount I'd pay for any shoe and that increases the chance I get it. If market is higher, then I move on. There's bigger fish to fry.

Frankly, I think sneaker prices won't persist. It'll be like baseball cards or comic books eventually. Diamonds are the only mass consumer product that have been able to hold prices above intrinsic value, thanks to DeBeers' marketing and cartelization by suppliers.

Soapbox over.
amen

yet up until yesterday there was no 12 in fc and the 12 is at 1250 right now. The sub 600 prices are going on because the shoes are in the wrong people's hands and people who are shook at the "restock".

This. People are always looking for a quick flip and killin' the market. If you can't afford to invest $225 then don't

Or it could be similar to car collecting.

In a week they will drop to $300, buyers should hold out.

Now would be the time to buy. Once 10/3 comes and goes with nothing they will go nowhere but up. Anyone selling for $300 is brain dead.

While I'm not familiar with car collecting, I doubt sneakers will be like that.

Since car collecting requires many thousands of dollars, that naturally limits the number of people involved which reduces the chances of a bubble. Sneaker collecting is pretty cheap (not talking about samples/PEs), hence the huge influx of interest over the last few years. If a bunch of marginal interest drops off, prices will cool off too.

It's just my view, obviously time will tell.

yall care way too much about how much people should be selling these for

do people buy shoes to wear anymore?

on another note - anyone hit up the blends SD raffle?

was thinking about it but didn't think it was worth it

but just like someone else said in this thread once Oct. 3 comes and *if it reatocks...doubtfull and people still cant get these will jump back up and up and UP haha

 at the last 2 pages. I will agree with alp though. If I want mistaken when nike release the yeezy 1s, I d remember anybody or the prices going crazy when they first release but now the resell price is high and also sought after. Same will happen to these

congrats dude
which Blends did you win at?

Beverly Hills . With the extra tickets for people buying a Latte at Starbucks they had 500 tickets for 20 pairs . Blends dude spends like 45 seconds verifying my Starbucks receipt . The 4th person to win had a ticket that was one number off mine and I was like I am ****** . LOL Interesting thing is a couple of pairs were in the black 30th anniversary box . They told one dude we would discount it $25 for the black box .

That would be hard to believe, i mean if this sneaker craze dies down or goea away.....which i doubt or will happen in a very long time from now only b/c theres waaay too much hype backing this craze right now. Advertising for being a sneakerhead is a natural thing, wheather through athletes, rappers, singers, celebrities, actors, etc or even just by the kid just wanting to do whatever his big brother did or father did; they will automatactly do it as well. Not to mention that youtube is flooded with sneaker reviewers its crazy and haha even those so called UnAuthorized pairs ....which is a whole other story haha....but that also givi g alot of hype towards sneakers as well. There's going to be generations and generations and followed by more generations filled with youtube reviewers and resellers and just like i stated before kids following their older brother or even following their father and so on.....so this will be here to stay i think. BUT the saddest thing out of all of this is that 99.9 percent of these people are wearing these shoea and haven't seen Jordan play or even don't know who this peraon is or looks like lololol

....shady-ness continues......those people with the black boxes might want to have a Legit Check asap

They may not have seen him play but they know who he is and what he looks like. I didn't see wilt chamberlain play or any of the hardwood greats but I have seen footage (a la ESPN Classic) and have a great abiding love for their athleticism. You've described a bubble and it will burst. I think it's interesting we are this close to December and know one is buzzing about what the new Jordan xxx looks like....which is not a good sign for nike if they are relying on retros and aging athletes to keep 'em in the game. Under Armour is taking a very 'young' nike approach -- no prisoners.

That tells you jb made a lot
If you are referring to the black boxes, thats the same way i feel... I wouldnt be surprised if the blacks are easier to get, just because they are black.... By that i mean they are not as flashy as the white pair, no gold flakes no clear sole... Just black
