The Tiger Woods we knew is never coming back, is he?

Homie really needs to find his happy place...

I think his swing changed due to necessity from injuries

From following Tiger, it has been always the other way around. He gets injured and feels he needs to change his swing to whatever is hot at the moment to reduce "stress on his body".

Most his right knee. Tiger as an idiosyncrasy in his swing that he hyper-extends his left knee at impact as a way to square the club.

When he got hurt the first time he wanted Butch to completely rework his swing, Butch was like "nah", all you need is tweaks. That caused a rift and he fired Butch after a while.

He has gotten hurt under every coach, and that has lead to him switching coaches every time.

Now he wants to go back to the way he was swinging under Butch Harmon. Tiger just be doing too much with his swing

There is video breaking it down. He was freakish athletic in 2000 but his swing was still the best mechanically sound back then. And he was way more accurate

2013 :x :smh:

Another golfer this has happen to is a guy named Aaron Baddely. Dude was a beast with a :smokin swing and he messed with it so much he broke it.

As arrogant and miserable as he is, I still find myself low key rooting for his comeback

Same here. I want him to regain something, but with his recent performance in the US Open, it's starting to look bleak.

Agree with all points but also do not rule out the weight lifting factor as well which has wrecked his back and altered his swing. I've read how other tour pros laugh at how much unnecessary (for his sport) weight work Woods does.

He's 40 now and has about 20 years of serious lifting on his resume and that catches up to you especially when he obviously hasn't stopped. Proper gym work helps all athletes but Palmer and Nicklaus weren't trying to look like NFL D-backs during their run.

I wouldn't be surprised if he took some type of PEDs... his body has fallen apart the last few years.

I'm only 23 but Tiger's dominance is one of the reasons I got hooked on the game. I'll never forget watching his duel with Bob May at Valhalla, the crazy chip-in at Augusta and the putt on the 72nd in '08 at Torrey Pines. Like others have said, it's weird to think that kids today have no memory of a dominant Tiger.

I also think there is way more depth today. Even if Tiger was at the top of the game, I don't think he would be nearly as dominant as he was 10-15 years ago. Some of that is being past his prime, but guys like Spieth, Mcilroy etc. are better than the top tier players from last decade, and the second tier group of players is also better. Much of that can be credited to Tiger- I think his dominance changed the mentality of many golfers on tour and what was possible.

Yeah, Tiger is finished. What was that record he was supposed to all but smash before his decline?

Hmm, last time I checked hes only 39. Stop adding ages to people

To a certain degree, I've always viewed Tiger as a frontrunner. When he was the media darling, it was easy for him...mentally, to be great. Now that he's been dragged through the mud, I think his mental state has become too great of an obstacle for him to overcome.

It's sad because I'll never forget his dominance. Unreal

if you had to sink a 30 foot putt to save your life and you had the option of letting Tiger take it for you, would you let him or just take it yourself?

Tiger Woods is not walking through that door..

And that's just fine. Plenty of young blood to make the Tour fun. :pimp:
