Having a bad meal unappreciation...

Pretty much take the L and know not to get that item next time. I try to give it another shot trying something else but if that fails then I won't go there again. Got this taco shop next door to the crib and as soon I place my order they have it ready. Convenient? Yes but I rather you take the time and make it then rush. My cheese done still be cold in my burrito :x

If it is not cooked properly I will send it back. If I don't like the meal I will take a few bites and ask for a new meal. If the entire service is just bad I will try my best to be compensated for the bad experience. I have received many meals for free/ gift cards I expect half way decent service.

Just last week I got my table of 10 meal completely taken care of by the manager. Hands down second worst service/meal I have ever had. Will not be returning to iHop again. I have other stories also one bad experience meal resulted in a manager getting fired.

Sorry I'm not one of those people that is upset with their service or meal and just deal with it then complain the entire way home. Kindly ask for the issue to be corrected, I see no problem.

When you buy goods from a store if it isn't to your standards do you just take the L or do you return or exchange it? Same applies to food imo.

Returning something to the store and sending your food back at a restaurant are two completely different things broski

How so?

So your telling me if you ask for a med steak and it comes back well done you wont send it back?

True, but Ive read and heard enough stories from people that work in restaurants to know that some of nastiest, f'd up people work in food service so I do not want to give them any reason whatsoever to mess with my food

Barbers, Dry Cleaners, and people in the food industry I dont say anything to. UNTIL they mess up and I let them have it, needless to say I'm banned in a few spots.

I never send something back if I don't like it - usually just take the L. My goddamn mother-in-law has an issue everytime we all go out for dinner, at least 9 out of 10 times she is sending something back, *****ing about service, etc. All while belittling the server. Drives me ******* nuts.

My wife had a friend like this.
Always complained.
She prty much nvr had to pay for her food, and never tipped.

Would also complain about how much debt she has while she's clutching her loui Vuitton purse.

What's your gameplan when invited over to someone's house who you know can't cook?

Went over to a family friend's house a few Thanksgiving's back....knew it was gonna be bad, so I stuffed myself before I went over and just kept it simple by eating salad. Gotta be prepared, yanno?
Unfortunately, this has happened to me. Just take small portion, eat what you can, compliment them, and stop eating/continue drinking.

people who cant cook really hosting dinner parties? thats next level lack of self awareness.

more often than not ill just keep quiet and take the L if the food or service isnt up to par. my only exception is if im eating at a high end restaurant. im paying for a certain level of food quality and service if im dropping $100+ per person on a meal.

last time i complained like that was around the holidays. Me and my friends will usually try to get together for a nice dinner around xmas. we booked a reservation a month in advance at Mastros in Beverly Hills since we had a large group. Everyone arrived on time but it took them damn near an hour just to get us seated. I asked to speak with the manager as soon as they showed us to the table. Manager was very understanding about it and said he would take care of us. He ended up comping $700+ worth of seafood towers for the table and letting my cheap friend use his military discount even though he was the only dude in the military amongst the group of us 12.

One of the people who came over brought string bean casserole :x and the fried onions on top were doing the back stroke b/c that joint was so watery....

Oh, and potlucks...forget about it. 9/10, I'm only eating what I brought.

You could always pull a larry david aka social assassin, and when the host asks you how the food was you can hit em with the "ehhh potatoes were a little dry".

Take the L. Never sent food back before. Many other meals to be had, no reason to cause such a big deal out of one singular meal

Depends... If I asked for mashed potatoes w/ my steak but they give me veggies instead... Not a big deal

I don't like to complain

Because goods you are returning to a store are likely sealed and therefore not privy to being tampered with by the server who is upset and a douche because you just returned and made them have to make it again.

I never send food back. Even if I hadn't known servers who will tell you themselves tons of nasty things they do to people's food, have you not read the NT threads about it? Kats out here nutting in pizzas and sticking their ***** in vitamin waters and ****. Even if you don't upset them, you can't be too sure but I'd never want to give them "reason."

At pot lucks, I typically only eat what I bring and anything else that is store bought. No diss intended, just seen that go wrong way too many times plus been in the bathroom washing my hands after using and seem someone come out the stalls and diddy bop right passed me out the bathroom door without washing their hands.

With that logic you shouldn't even want to eat any food that isn't prepared by yourself. I'll take my chances. If you are an ****** to the server yeah I'm sure they will want to mess with your food. I'm not that type of person I have good experiences 95% of the time. The 5% just so happens to be really bad.

:smh:I really dont. And you would be unlikely to know if dude just dipped his tip in your sweet tea or something so your count of it seems irrelevant. You'd be like "Wow, our server's such a nice guy," and drop a 75% tip NT style while he's just looking at you sip on your tea with the :nerd: face

I don't like to complain

Last time my order was incorrect was at a diner when I ordered fries with my gyro and instead got a Greek salad side. I took it as a sign that the universe was telling me to stop being fat.

Taking the L after complaining to the mgr, pay my bill and then leaving. I know better than to send food back lol.
