A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Iman Shumpert has agreed to terms on a four-year, $40 million contract that will keep him in Cleveland.

Shumpert and the Cavaliers came to agreement on Wednesday evening. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced. A contract cannot be signed until July 9.

i love TT BUT a limited offensive player as he is NOW is not worth max, no matter how UNREAL he is on the boards

Absolutely, there are an awful lot of players with inflated opinions of their own play - realistically there are only a handful of max players in the league. Overpaying these other guys (who are great players and still getting paid) just ruins a teams chances as they can't have any depth.

Payback time is what i want too.
it was an uneven matchup this year's finals as the cavs were without kyrie and love.
imagine it would be the other way, Warriors playing without clay and igudala against a fully healthy cavs roster.
The cavs would have rolled over them.
steph curry is good but he would not carry the warriors unlike LeBron did.
LeBron clearly had to play too many minutes and without kyrie and love the warriors could focus their defense on LeBron. Let's not forget that the cavs became the 2nd best nba team within one season from being a team that missed the playoffs last season. New players take time to adjust and even the head coach was new.

Names that I have heard and read about the Haywood deal include:

Demar DeRozan
Patty Mills
JJ Redick
Jamal Crawford

Would take any of them. DeRozan seems like a huge stretch though..

Cool about JR... was fully expecting to lose him but like I said I find it odd that no other teams are talking to him.
