Agreed... If anyone killed him it was Shanahan.
Gruden consistently shows he can't stand RG3.

Nope. Shanahan put him in the best position to win. The dumb DC sports fans and the owner backed RG3 instead of the coach and ran him out of town.

No rookie should be given the power to get a coach fired like that. Then the fans wonder why he's so into himself. They empowered Robert and what you see now is the result.

Could not disagree more with your assessment.

RG3 didn't get Shanahan fired. Snyder and Shanahan got him fired when they started infighting with RG3 as a pawn.

Also Shanny is clearly to blame for leaving him in that game. And it's Kyle who deserves the credit for that offense.

Got him hurt...

Trotted him back out there, got him hurt again...

And had him constantly looking like this afterward...

But he was the best thing for him I guess...

Leaving him in gave us the best chance to win. Players get hurt. Miss me with that play for next season mentality. That's the reason the Nationals don't have a World Series title. Again dumb DC sports fan mentality. Shut down the pitcher and play for next year.

RG3 was clearly better under Shanahan. He's not a pocket passer. You draft the guy based off his ability to run. He tells the coach he doesn't want to run and everyone backed the player. Dudes still taking RG3 side vs Shananhan after he's been gone and there's still nothing but drama. Smh

Same dudes who back taking RG3 out that game are the same ones who crush Jay Cutler for not playing in a playoff game. Ha ha ha

So RG3 not sliding had no parts in why he got hurt so much? He takes no blame for his own decision making?

Eh Rg3 needs to get out of Washington but I dont think that he will flourish anywhere else though. Hes damaged goods IMO.

But I am not feeling sorry for him after all this drama he caused.

The drama was there before RG3 and will be there after he's gone. Because your owner is Dan Snyder.

You're arguing it was worth destroying your #2 pick's career to try and come back against the Seahawks in a 1st round playoff game when you had no chance of winning a SB?

100% does and I've already said... While at Baylor and during the Dolphins draft I wanted no parts of RG3 this being one of the reasons.
BUT to put him back in a game when his knee was CLEARLY ruined is NOT on him.

Mariota was looking flustered out there last night with the Chiefs defense chasing after him. He's gonna put up pretty much the same type of stats Russell Wilson and Alex Smith put up, but he probably won't ever get crap for it cause everybody likes him.

Eag Em would not agree with this outrageous statement

It's over for RG3 in DC. I've supported him up until now. Regardless if the drama is warranted or not, it's still drama. Time for us to trade him for whatever and move on.

They'd prob only get a second rounder or third for him. Might as well just ride it out.

If Shanahan took RG3 out of the game and the Skins lost the lead and game then people would have crushed him for that. It was a lose lose situation.

Is it possible that Snyder told shan that if he didn't play rg3 in the playoff game he was fired?

True... for that one game and offseason.
Guess that's why Belichick is so successful, because he listens to the fans...
Had he took him out, RG3 got fully healthy for next season, stressed the importance of sliding, and you know... got along. Everything would of been great for DC Football.

Y'all remember how big his ego was that season? I hate the guy but I told WAS fans back then, he should sit and not play the rest of the season and maybe come back for the playoffs. Guy came back after missing one game because he wasn't getting attention and Alfred Morris was getting it all. He couldn't stand it not being about him. He also wasn't leaving that playoff game, Shanahan was not in charge. His ego is what killed him. Not Andrews, Shanny or Gruden.

It's possible, I would think... anything is possible in the NFL at this point.
Something like that happened with Vince Young if I recall.

I also don't see why it is either one or the other... Seems like Shan, Snyder, and rg3 were all to blame for the debacle.
