Mike Bennett is a quote machine...he may have also taken a subtle shot at Kam, I need to listen to the interview for myself though
Dog, he went all the way in on Sam Bradford

Comment sections on the Post Gazette about signing Vick  They're caping hard for Ben about not being convicted of rape :smh: OJ wasn't convicted of murder but we all know he had a hand in it. The rustle is strong, but none of em tryna hand over them season tickets for the low though.

His brother is a great quote as well. BRUTALLY honest. Dude said this about Cutler:

Jay Cutler took his share of blame, too, but Bennett doesn’t think it was all deserved. “Why does everyone always assume the quarterback is the leader?” Bennett asks. “Leading the offense and leading the team are two different things. Sometimes I like Cutty, and sometimes I don’t. When I think of a leader, I think, ‘If he started a company, would guys come to work for him?’ There’s a lot of guys on our team who, if they started a business, it’d be, ‘**** you, I’m gonna go work at McDonald’s.’ ”

So would Bennett work at Cutler Corp.? “There are veterans that people follow,” he says after a long pause, “and then you’ve got guys that lead the offense, get everyone lined up, get to your spot, do what you need to do, let’s do our plays.” Take that as you will.

Boom.

I told my cousin last night that Vick was gonna have these peoples' panties in a bunch. Pittsburgh is a very holier than thou city, and people around here love them some Woman Beater James Harrison but don't want a dog fighter backing up their accused rapist quarterback.

I love my city/team, but this behavior gets old very quickly.

On top of it all, regardless of media outlet, you KNOW what you're getting in a comments section

Why search for people strongly against having Vick on the Steelers? What's the point?

I can't speak for dude, but this is pretty much everywhere on social media, blogs, ect. I've caught a lot of reactions on Twitter. But I've avoided the comments sections on the Steelers blogs I read like the plague. Only gonna be setting myself up

I read for entertainment purposes  It's funny to see people get all bent out of shape for one thing, defend another, and the cry foul  People here act like Pittsburgh isn't a city w/ heavy subtle racist undertones. The Yinzers act holier than thou and ignore the things going on. I didn't even know the Steelers were looking to sign him until 96.1 KISS posted it on Facebook then you see a slew of people sharing statuses about not supporting the Steelers anymore, etc. etc. Then say "But Ben wasn't convicted of rape and nobody's life was affected by it."

Seriously, Internet comment sections and Twitter are for the extremists and loud dummies. If you want to judge and like players/teams for off field behavior, that is fine. But then do it across the board, not when it is convenient or fits your agenda

Just to clarify it isn't that Ben wasn't convicted, I think many point to the fact he wasn't even charged. Still, as discussed earlier at the very least he put himself in very bad situations. And he shouldn't be a comparison when bringing up others off field problems. Just a bad argument to make

Word. The Steelers have the most hypocritical fanbase in the NFL next to the Pats.

If you're against Vick fighting dogs you should also be against hunting for sport. Just saying. All animals should have equal rights.

you are about to open up the NT "you are against hunting but you eat meat" argument
I said hunting for sport. I know many people who just hunt for the thrill of killing innocent animals. I don't eat meat btw.

I don't hunt nor even like hunting but I don't agree with this premise

Edit - No meat at all? Not even fish? That's tough, I'm impressed

I don't care about animals at all. I got bit by a dog and gotten chased by a few walking home from school when I was younger. I hate animals.
