By the look of these stories, it seems so.

bruh football players are just different like their thought process just isnt normal. and my god a player who plays ST :x

these guys are in a 35 mph car wreck ever play. knowing thats gonna happen every play, they just have to have that "i dont give a damn" attitude and alot of these fools carry that same attitude off the field.

Former Lincolnton High football standout and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back C.J. Wilson severely injured one of his hands in a Fourth of July fireworks accident on Saturday.

Wilson lost two fingers in the accident, sources close to the family have confirmed to the Lincoln Times-News. He was at home in Lincolnton with family and close friends when the accident occurred.

@Buc Em :nerd:

I like both Russ and Watt and dont mind seeing either succeed but I think Watt definitely has some slight tool bag tendencies. Only slightly though. And Russ is definitely just flat out a corn ball. I said from his Wisconsin days him being a master of saying all the right things will eventually get redundant but now he's really outdoing himself with this Jesus Christ Ciara bull shut. I think he genuinely wants to be seen as some motivational person to help others but it's backfiring and he's becoming a joke.

Russ wants to be religious Derek Jeter. I don't know that he realizes the religious Derek Jeter model isn't what people want from their athletes/celebrities in 2015.

The reason I'm clowning Watt is because he's a hypocrite, not because he wore a letterman jacket.

Man, this JPP **** is crazy. You hear from reliable sources that his hand is fine and only burned. Then others are saying it's serious. Giants go down there to check on him and see how their player is doing but he refused to meet with them. That doesn't sound good at all. I would be surprised if he's with us this year. He might be in a different jersey this year. I don't think we'll even offer the franchise tag for the year :smh:

If the injury isn't serious but he can bait the Giants into panicking and rescinding their offer, he can become an unrestricted free agent and get more guaranteed cash vs the franchise tender.

Theres basically no benefit for letting the Giants know the extent of his hand injury at this point

Yeah sure they wont..Prime possible double digit sack guys are so plentiful :rolleyes

The dude had firework accident..its not so huge personality flaw..You're not dealing with anything that's a public relations disaster.

Someone just lost 2 fingers doing the same thing.

Teams aren't going to offer big guaranteed money to a moron. It's business.

Its a business if you can help the team on the field, team executives could give a damn about your personality

we're talking about guaranteed money. you're not giving a boat load of guaranteed money to someone who appears to be a liability off the field. you do that and he does something else stupid, guess what, you just set your team back big time.

Than why do teams keep signing these woman and child abusers?

theyre not throwing huge guaranteed deals at them. greg hardy got a 1 year deal. that makes sense, the risk-reward is favorable.

So a fireworks accident is now a major personality flaw?

Its your typical immature risky behavior..that's pretty much the end of it

JPP is 6 years in the NFL and this is 1st mistake I can recall

JPP is a great pass rusher in his prime, he's going to get paid more guaranteed money than the franchise tender whether you like it or not

You're gonna underestimate the lack of logic behind a grown man whose body is his livlihood having a uhaul full of fireworks and nearly blowing his hand off? You're not giving him 40 million guaranteed 2 weeks after this incident if the Giants pull their tag.

but this kind of goes to MF's point.

This firework situation isnt a huge PR ordeal like the Greg Hardy's of the world (thats the only reason why these DV cases are being handled like this anyways now)

Do we actually know how the accident happened and the circumstances behind it?
