Until Reebok signed an NFL contract I believe teams were allowed to pick who made their jerseys

Eagles used Puma for a couple years while others had Nike, etc.

I know the Giants have only had Reebok and Nike since the 90s but I thought starter was the most common NFL apparel company back in the 90s.

I wouldn't remember the era before the Reebok contract exactly as I was a baby
