turnover differential i'd say is more important. leading indicator to success IMO.
unless you're AR12. still can't win even when the game is handed to him on a platter...4 times

Turnover differential isn't just a defensive stat though.
Getting turnovers is good but it doesn't vault a team that's playing in the 20s in points allowed to a good defense.

Nobody in here is saying it's the end all be all but takeaways are always a great thing especially if you're not giving it away at the same rate.
Great teams always are near the top at TO rate. Its not that complicated.

And that 06 chip we had one of the worst defenses I have ever seen. Especially the run D. Getting shredded for over 300 by Jax was tough to watch. But somehow they got together and carried Peyton to the AFC title game because he threw like 5 combined picks in the w.c. and divisional games.

Yes having a good turnover rate is great but that's not just a defense stat, its a team stat.
The defense getting turnovers helps the TO rate but having an offense that doesn't turn the ball over is just as important.
A defense getting turnovers is great but if the defense is in the bottom half of points allowed, I think its fair to say that's an average defense at best.

It is pretty sad and shameful, on the organization's part and the comissioner's part. I get it though, Roger had to do what he believed would protect the shield and you gotta do what you gotta do to win. I don't doubt that other teams are cheating as well, but it's quite funny/ironic that it's the same team that gets outed time and time again lol.
