I have to say again though that of all the changes the NFL has made, this one with the 33-yard PAT's is one that I agree with, but also really like. I feel it adds genuine excitement to the game as opposed to constricting one side of the ball with the defensive rules.

More two-point conversion attempts, the rule Collinsworth alluded to about defensive scores on two-point attemtps being worth 2...It's all a positive, in my opinion.

If they end up missing a high enough percentage of extra points that I think could be possible and it effects the situational aspect of the game as I think it might, I wonder if it creates a new breed of elite kickers. One where we glamorize their ability to make extra points like we did for JJ Rediks free throw percentage at Duke.

I don't disagree with the play call. You have the game within reach now with that FG. If you double down just because of that penalty, you risk something worse happening and you may not get those 3. Lots of game left and your team is in it.
