Goodell needs to just make a decision on Brady, it's ridiculous it's been drug out this long

I mean I see their point after two 8-8 years and two WC loses where they were favorites and heavy favs against Tebow

Tomlin would get scooped up right away if Pitt let him go

I don't. Steelers fans are very spoiled.

Neither do I.

Tomlin is 82-46, never had a losing season, went to 2 SBs and won 1 in 8 years.

Let that sink in.

Plenty of organizations around the league would trade places in a heartbeat.

Neither, that they extended him. I thought this would be a wait and see year.

Perhaps don't want him to start looking around

I like Tomlin but the consensus among my Steelers buddies is they want new blood in there

It was like that for a few years after 08, it seemed that he may have gotten lucky with 'Cowhers players' and that SB. Also the initial decision to bring in Haley looked bad, but things have obviously improved and I'm cool with him, even though he does make some bone headed on field decisions. As a motivator and 'cool dude' that was never questioned by me

@AdamSchefter: Patriots reached agreement with former Raiders and 49ers CB Tarell Brown, as @diannaESPN reported. NE had been looking to add CB depth.

Its funny they said noone really recognized him until the chef threw shrimp up and was giving hints by saying thats the Qbs fault right then they said it all started to click

seems to be embracing Philly, he's been out doing charity and what not since he has been here. I enjoy seeing players out there, a lot of former players end up staying in Philly when they are done...

B West, Hollis Thomas, Trotter, etc.

Barwin seems to be heading towards that when his career is over

Packers' Letroy Guion to appeal 3-game suspension by NFL

Rob Demovsky, ESPN.com

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Letroy Guion has been suspended for the first three games of the regular season for his offseason arrest, but the Green Bay Packers defensive tackle is planning to appeal.

According to a source, Guion was notified of the three-game ban this week, and his agent and lawyers immediately began preparing their appeal. The NFL does not announce suspensions until the appeal process has been completed, according to league spokesman Greg Aiello.

The Packers and Guion have been bracing for a suspension ever since his February arrest on charges of possession of marijuana and a firearm, but they were hoping he would be suspended for only a game or two after Guion paid a $5,000 fine in a plea deal to avoid prosecution.

Neither Guion nor his agent, Seth Katz, could be reached for immediate comment Thursday, and it's unknown when the appeal hearing will be held.

The Packers re-signed Guion to a one-year, $2.75 million contract shortly after the case was settled in March. If Guion's suspension is not reduced, he will lose nearly a half-million dollars. He would lose three game checks totaling $264,706. He also has a roster bonus for $71,875 for each game he plays in, meaning he would lose another $215,625.

Guion is still fighting to recover $190,028.81 in cash and his 2015 Dodge Ram truck that police in Starke, Florida, seized during his arrest. Guion is suing to get those possessions back.

Guion is a projected starter at one of the two defensive end positions in defensive coordinator Dom Capers' 3-4 defense. If Guion's suspension holds up, the Packers will be without two defensive linemen to start the season.

Earlier this month, defensive end Datone Jones was suspended for the regular-season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 13 for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

court wiping out the suspension makes it look like an even bigger joke. basically saying, "yeah roger, you have no idea what the **** you're doing upholding punishments based on some mickey mouse ******** investigation."

It was pointed out that if Goodell upholds the suspension and then it gets overturned in Federal Court, at what point do we stop taking his punishments seriously because his last 4 or 5 would all have been overturned or reduced.

I understand that Goodell is trying to rebuild his reputation after the Ray Rice matter, but I feel like he's sort of in a lose-lose situation. If he reduces the suspension, some owners will be outraged and this entire ordeal will have looked like a complete farce. If he upholds the suspension only to have his decision overturned, his decision making will come into question and his power in these matters will have to be addressed later on because none of his suspensions ever get upheld.

Goodell should just take the settlement offer and fine Brady and be done with it :nerd:

saw a tweet the other day saying Goodell has no knowledge of Bell appealing...

could probably get it down to 1-2 games
