Yet the rules changes everyone agrees makes passing easier you leave out to compare their first 4 years. Your not wrong but aren't telling the whole story.

There's also the fact that Andrew Luck is just a better player than Jay Cutler. Will this "debate" end soon?

@FieldYates: Filed to ESPN: the Patriots have signed RB Dion Lewis to a 2-year contract extension through the 2017 season, per a league source.

Congrats to the new Shane Vereen of the Patriots offense!

We use logic.

My point exactly. You can't put into words what your criteria is because you don't have one. It's all random, basically whatever formula that makes you right.

I'd really like you to explain to me since your the most vocal how you personally go about the process. How much weight do titles and stats hold for you? Please I'm curious to know.

What criteria do you have again? As far as I can tell, it's being a "vocal and emotional leader" and vague references to an "eye test" with no further explanation. Ha ha ha

At least Mister Friendly has his Starting Lineup figures and ESPY awards. I'm still confused about how you rate/evaluate players.

My goodness Chester, have some dignity, Luck isn't a family member

As a Patriots fan, I love nothing more than watching Andrew Luck fail and award us with playoff wins. That being said, I will not stand for the poor kid getting compared to Jay Cutler of all people. A young Peyton Manning? Yeah. Early Ben Roethlisberger? Another good comparison. Turnover prone? Yeah.

But Jay Cutler? That's just painfully bad.

Those rules have been around much longer than 2010, just an FYI.

And no, they don't 'aid the QB greatly' as you say. If someone gets blown up Jay Cutler doesn't get awarded extra yards and touchdowns.

You got it. Passing penalties and how defenses had to adjust was all in my mind. There is no difference in how the passing game is officiated today oppose to then. It was all make believe.

If the passing game has changed so much, why has Jay Cutler only thrown for 4000 yards once in his career and it was before the "rules change"? Why has he never thrown more than 29 touchdowns? :nerd:

I enjoy hating on Andrew Luck's 31st-QBR ranking self as much as any man, but I don't like to see quality criticism de-legitimized by these weak arguments.

One plays with Matt Forte in a outdoor cold climate. The other has 0 running game and plays in a Dome 8 games a year. Why do you expect a rushing teams QB to have as many yards as a pass first offense QB?
