Yeah I think the last few years made people not like him but if you did a ranking in 2007, he would've probably been a consensus top 5 quarterback

He was like the most beloved player ever

They should make that QB list with most offensive support as well. Can twist these type of things to fit your narrative easily.

Favre was extremely entertaining to watch..

As mentioned that Monday night game after his dad passed was great

In the 90s I didn't want to bet against him or my team have to play him.. But the ring he won people don't realize how good that defense was and Desmond Howard went off in the super bowl.. That game was a lot closer than I thought it should have been and if not for Howard going off, who knows

But in the '00s I loved for my team to face him, especially in the playoffs.. Just knew he was going to do something extremely stupid that had absolutely no need to be done

Favre was definitely entertaining. From the TD's to INT's. He turned himself into a clown with all the flip flopping at the end of his career.

So they chose the others, over taking care of Russ first, you say?

That's all you need to say. Not the same picture 11 times, but maybe I'm bein emotional today. |I

Got a point there. Teams ALWAYS take care of the QB first and everybody else comes after. They're treating Wilson like he's a WR.

Schneider does not operate like that as I said above

He's been extremely consistent how he's handled all contracts and when those talks can begin. Nobody has gotten special treatment in regards to their extensions. Russell is no different

Same thing with Lynch, he wasn't going to negotiate when he had 2 years left. He didnt do that with Kam, Earl, Sherm, KJ...nobody

Stop falling for that narrative

Ok.

All I know is when teams know they have a franchise QB they don't hesitate to pay 'em.

i don't think that would bode all too well for russ either, given lynch

not saying it would look as lopsided as the table chester posted, but it's not going to paint him as some savior by any stretch

Compared to the likes of most of the other upper tier QB's, it makes a difference. Never said he was a god and was perfect, just wanted to point out that you "can twist these type of things to fit your narrative easily".

Lynch and who else? One of the worst offensive lines and Doug Baldwin?

again, not saying it's gonna make him look bad, but it doesn't necessarily help his cause THAT much. having to respect lynch is still a big deal. despite the **** offensive line, lynch gets his.

this year will be interesting with jimmy graham in town. russell finally has a LEGIT WR (yes, I used WR intentionally). excited to see what he does.

Pay Wilson, but not in the range of Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Romo, etc.
Talent wise they're all on different levels, all who fit different systems. Not a bad thing. I understand Wilson is a SB winning QB & took them to 2x Super Bowls back to back... BUT I'm not exactly sure if that type of offense is built to last through the stretch of his 7-10 year contract. Why pay him in the range of a top 5 QB if the system he's playing in now, might not be the same after a while or if teams keep finding ways to slow down their offense. Playing in 16 games is a lot of film tape, but making it through the playoffs & Super Bowl that's a lot of game tape & plays teams can study. Also, anyone should know the answer to this question... If players are constantly in the playoffs or Superbowls, & become FA. What usually happens?
They sign with other teams, because they can't afford to pay everyone. Sure lock up the big name players: Lynch, Thomas, Sherman, Wagner, *Wilson*, but there's plenty of Tier 2 guys that help out. Tier 2 guys, who want to be payed like eventual starters or Tier 1's in other teams who don't have "Star Players/Elite".
What do I know though.

I think a 55 year old Brett is better than what all the teams I listed have today that are good teams. Except for Cincy but a 55 year old Brett in the playoffs is better than a current Dalton in the playoffs.

In that case I think Marino could come back and be great. He looks good after that weight watchers diet

Wow this dude is tripping

Talking about Brett Favre being an upgrade for a current NFL quarterback ...what drug is that poster on?
