Ricky was an outright beast his first two years with the Phins, make no mistake about that. Then he lost his mind and retired, but the man still came back and posted one more 1000+ yard season in '09.

Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas used to give me fits :x. Ricky and Edgerrin used to run the AFC for a little while.

If Ricky mind was right, he woulda dominated the league for a good 6-8 years.

I'm not faulting him for what he did, especially now knowing all that we know about Ricky, mental health, and that specific disorder. But you have to understand that at the time, us in Miami were appalled and even a little angry that he walked away at his peak. We loved watching him play for us and felt betrayed.

oh no I def. understand, I am just saying I understand why he was erratic and walked away

Phins have struggled at the QB position for quite some time

Culpepper over Brees.....yikes

that's why Saban peaced out if I remember correctly

I drafted Culpepper as my fantasy QB that year thinking he would be good again :smh:

Yeah Saban screwed us and then said peace out once he realized what he did, he is a grade-A scumbag. Nicky might be impressionable to a group of 18-20 year olds but he couldn't command an NFL locker room for ****.

I didn't understand why he built his team the way he did

Those Dolphins teams were very veteran laden and drafted poorly..the opposite of what you'd expect from a college coach..I guess he was trying to follow the Patriots blueprint

Regarding the Culpepper/Brees thing...

When I read Drew Brees' book, he mentioned that he never felt comfortable/wanted/welcomed from Saban. He said he didn't know if he'd be starting and the communication between him and Saban was awful. That's why Brees picked New Orleans and not Miami.

Anytime you can give away a 2nd round pick for a QB, rather than just signing one outright, you have to do it.......

**** you Nick

Yeah, no.

@AaronWilson_NFL: Texans plan to sign running back Pierre Thomas following successful tryout today per sources also worked out Ben Malena and Joe McKnight

Watching that scene when the Deadliest Catch crew finds out Russell Wilson passes the ball instead of the handoff made me cry. Funniest thing I've seen in a long time. They were seriously hurt. Hahahahahaha

 being facetious Friendly. Sarcasm.

SP, Nick chose Culpepper and then Drew signed in NO. I waited day after day for that announcement, it was a turning point in our franchise. And it pissed me off. :smh:

He chose a knee injury over a labrum injury I don't necessarily blame him
