NFL players being freaks aside, there's no way he gained 40 pounds of muscle in the off-season. 40 pounds in general, maybe.
 
It's physically impossible to gain 40 pounds of muscle in a year let alone an offseason.

It's always hilarious to hear the hyperbolic #'s around this time though.
 
If this guy makes a joke about steroids and then get caught using steroids a few months later.....NT will be on fire.
 
I don't know much about the field of body building but don't they test or is that allowed?
 
One seahawk homer says he gained 40 lbs and yall runnin with it?

He claims he only gained 18 lbs, either way he's probably on that David Boston diet.
 
Yeah, I was thinking they have to allow it. I don't watch any of that stuff or know much about it but some of them dudes are bigger than a Prius. You would think it has to be allowed. Maybe certain competitions don't allow it.
