Oh it makes sense why Witten is a big anti-DV guy.

Is that why some of y'all are such anti DV guys?

DV sucks and it ain't cool but there's a bunch of hyperbole towards it right now...I read a story saying Jose Reyes should get a lifetime ban.

And I'm like what?

It doesn't make sense to me when we have alleged rapists as stars of the NFL, NBA and NHL and most people don't think twice about it.

Rape is a far more heinous crime to me.

What kind of logic is this? "Yeah DV sucks, but rape is worse." These are all deplorable actions and NONE of them should be condoned at all.

On the flip side Ray Rice has shown sorrow and seemingly tried to better himself after the whole incident. He won't get back in the league due to his age/position but good to see some contrition

my biggest issue with Hardy is he shows no remorse and doesn't seem to get it at all

I won't be surprised when it happens again

I never knew the Witten story until I saw the feature on E:60.

Probably rustled his jimmies big time hearing Jerry Jones call Hardy a "leader." I mean, Witten is a captain....

Witten called Hardy a leader during OTA's so I doubt he had a problem when Jerry says it

Rodney Harrison and Jeff Fisher goin back and forth

Sunday night Rodney Harrison called Lamarcus Joyner's hit on Vikings Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater a "dirty hit" before adding, "I wasn't surprised because it happened to me in 2006." Harrison went on to detail a hit from Titans WR Bobby Wade: "He chopped my knees and tore my knee up," Harrison said. "I'm lying on the ground, and I look at Jeff Fisher and he's smiling and laughing. So this is typical of Jeff Fisher-type teams."

Jeff Fisher responded by unloading a full verbal arsenal on Harrison. "This is coming from a guy that had 18 unnecessary-roughness penalties, seven personal fouls, four roughing-the-passer penalties, a total of 77 penalties in his career," Fisher said. "And he was voted three times the dirtiest player in the National Football League and was suspended for a hit, a helmet-to-helmet his on Jerry Rice, in 2002. Okay? This is where these comments are coming from."

On Tuesday, Harrison responded to Fisher's response to Harrison.

"The bottom line is this, all I did was I spoke on an experience that I had," Harrison told Seattle's KJR Radio. "Bobby [Wade] came and hit me on my knee, I looked up to the sideline and those guys were laughing and joking. You don't laugh and joke at anybody's injuries because it can happen to any football player at any point in time. That's what I saw and I just spoke about it. He took things personally and made it what it was and then he started naming all these personal fouls and penalties and stuff like that. Basically saying, 'Look at the source.'

"Well, look at the source: A two-time Super Bowl champion, a guy that played in four Super Bowls, a guy that had a heck of a career, a guy that loves the game. And did I play on the edge? Yes, I did play on the edge. But if you're calling me dirty and you assume that I am a dirty player. ... Well, if I am a dirty player then guess what, I should know what a dirty hit is."

How do you know that for a fact?

How do you know they both didn't come to an agreement in order for it to go away? Is that far-fetched to think at this point considering we've heard little to nothing from Nicole since?

Where does it say "Greg Hardy knew he would be found guilty, again, so he decided to pay her off."

Hopefully those questions were good enough for a reasonable response from you.

Why would Greg Hardy pay a hefty sum if he was innocent? yes it seems far fetched that this is the scenario that happened considering there are 47 pictures of her bruises and the crime scene, we only saw 2 of those photos

you are a lawyer right?

Do we know how much that sum was? Has that been released yet? Serious question.

No, never said I was when you asked last week, but I'm just as important if that means anything to our discussion

So the Pats should sign him to stick it to Roger?
Kraft doesn't have the balls to do it.

I halfheartedly mentioned it before as a way to really complete the heel turn on the league. He's too busy playing grab *** with Rog though and that backfired on him this entire offseason.

Al Davis would've done it. RIP.

no it hasn't and it probably never will be but I just find it very hard to believe Greg Hardy is innocent

What's moving the goalposts about the 10-15 guys on NFL rosters with a DV case?

That nobody is outraged at them.

I think if the Ray Rice video never came nobody would really care about Greg Hardy like this.

It's even weird to me, that guys like Galette, who was on video whipping a woman with a belt didn't get much heat.

I don't know why?

And when people pay accusers off you can't always say it's because they're guilty.

Roesthlisberger and Kobe paid off their accusers.

Kobe's situation was mad different. There was evidence and witnesses that the ***** was setting him up. Just like Pac and Tyson.

It's funny reading the past 6 pages, see the usual 3 Hardy & DV advocates makes an *** out of themselves.

Hardy is doing this all to himself
All the "extra outrage" is because he wont keep his mouth shut

Yea. Dude needs to just shutup and get sacks...

The extra scrutiny will follow him until he retires... It is what it is...

Dude doesn't understand that aspect of the situation  ... like he's adamant about mentioning he did no wrong .. even if you feel that deep down inside you were "defending yourself," at this point you have to let it blow over because nothing you say will change the public's opinion after those photos came out.

The only way the majority will forgive him is if he takes the Ray Rice route or Nicole comes out and says she self-inflicted those wounds to herself in order to get over on Greg.

Other than that, get these sacks Greg, pass rush was horrendous Sunday night :smh:

What accuser did Ben pay off? The civil case that was settled?

And I said earlier what the difference is

Yes Roesthlisberger paid off his accuser.

Go look it up, there were 2 rape cases..remember?

One he settled with, the other asked for the charges to be dropped so she wouldn't have to go thru public scrutiny.

Incorrect on Ben

Wait, am I reading right, or did he just blame Ray Rice for people hating Greg Hardy?

I'm not trying to convince you that he's innocent, that's never been my stance. I'm just looking at it from both angles.

I blame Ray Rice, had he not been caught on video, Greg Hardy and other NFL players could beat their wifes, GFs, and baby mamas, in peace and no consequences.

Damn you Ray Rice for spoiling a good thing and putting the heat on future offenders!!!!
