Yes Roesthlisberger paid off his accuser.

Go look it up, there were 2 rape cases..remember?

One he settled with, the other asked for the charges to be dropped so she wouldn't have to go thru public scrutiny.

I do remember that there were two! Regardless what does that have to do with people not liking Hardy and his actions? People didn't like Ben and his actions and many still hate him.

I blame Ray Rice, had he not been caught on video, Greg Hardy and other NFL players could beat their wifes, GFs, and baby mamas, in peace and no consequences.

Damn you Ray Rice for spoiling a good thing and putting the heat on future offenders!!!!
Cowboys fans would second guess they momma if she were battered and bruised leaving Hardy's crib.

It had to do with somebody saying that why would you pay off an accuser if you're innocent.

It was a civil case that dragged on for years. Innocence in terms of criminal conduct wasn't at stake

And most feel he was probably guilty from the comments I've seen

Someone could say that's even more of reason to not pay the accuser off if you're innocent. Your freedom isn't at stake.

Depends on the settlement. If small, would be worth it to finish it up. But who knows that incident was 10 years ago

This whole Hardy case is strange. He also called the police the night in question. The women who claims to have seen him beating her switched from seeing to hearing. What happened to the guns and was he charged for those? I still have a lot of questions about the case itself. Why didn't he settle from jump and why didn't her lawyers try to settle? Why wait until you have him convicted with little chance of winning appeal to settle?

Ryan Mathews should be the starter imo
should be, but how long would dude really last in that role..

hell, he's had a couple minor injuries already this season (and to be a fair to him so has demarco).. but as I posted above, once we changed out our LG early in the season our running game has been a lot better on the whole

Guns seized from his home

Just tested out that 12 gauge Mossberg S90 a few weeks ago, was very impressed. Also like the SAR 223. Greg was definitely ready for some type of war or invasion based off the list of weapons he had seized.

Per source, Colts are trying to lure QB Jason Campbell to unretire. He played for Browns the year Rob Chudzinski was the team's head coach.

I never knew the Witten story until I saw the feature on E:60.

Probably rustled his jimmies big time hearing Jerry Jones call Hardy a "leader." I mean, Witten is a captain....

Witten called Hardy a leader during OTA's so I doubt he had a problem when Jerry says it

You have a quote for that?

This is the only article I found and the quote from Witten:

"I don't think he has to prove anything. He just needs to be a good teammate, show up and work hard. And I think he's done that," said Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, who grew up with domestic violence in his family home.

"He's been really good with the edge he brings. He got juice. He's big and strong, but he's got pep in his step, and he plays until the whistle blows."

Unless there's something I'm missing, this isn't calling Hardy a leader.

What's moving the goalposts about the 10-15 guys on NFL rosters with a DV case?

That nobody is outraged at them.

I think if the Ray Rice video never came nobody would really care about Greg Hardy like this.

It's even weird to me, that guys like Galette, who was on video whipping a woman with a belt didn't get much heat.

I don't know why?

And when people pay accusers off you can't always say it's because they're guilty.

Roesthlisberger and Kobe paid off their accusers.

Moving the goalposts is equating what Manziel did (which you said) to DV.

How would Jason Campbell be any better than Hasselbeck? Don't see the necessity here, Matt has been a solid back-up.
