Dude on ESPN really wrote 1000+ words on why he was disgusted at Rex Ryan's captain's choice for last night?

Glad he's (author) getting roasted in the comments section.
Not sure if Rex thought that all the way through, as Geno doesn't even play

would've meant a lot more with Geni actually out there.

Horrid play calling lost the Jets the game, straight up. And I mean, that was some of the worst calls I've seen in quite some time. Buffalo offense didn't do a damn thing and Rex played conservative late b/c he feared our defense. That botched punt was a gift and we failed to unwrap it :smh: .

This article pretty much sums up my thoughts on the game -

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/11/13/rex-ryan-bills-todd-bowles-jets/

Ryan feels vindicated because he beat his former employer. He equated it to a former girlfriend dumping him, and then calling him back after the deed was done.

Such insightful and deep analysis from the Bills’ head coach. Football is a business, and the most successful coaches treat it as such. There is a place for emotion, but it shouldn’t overwhelm the leader of a team that has legitimate playoff aspirations.

Onto Houston we go... Fitz is getting surgery today and should be ready to go. Oh, and Rontez Miles can play :pimp: .

That is all :frown: .

Completely flustered

The Jets play calling did get tragic at the wrong time. Think it was a 3rd and long, or even 4th down, and they call a Fitz run up the middle

Texas A&M sues the Colts over use of “12th Man”

The Indianapolis Colts use the term “12th Man” to describe their fans, something that many high school, college and pro football teams do. But only Texas A&M has a registered trademark on the term “12th Man,” and now the university is suing the NFL team.

The Indianapolis Star reports that Texas A&M has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the Colts in federal court in Texas. According to Texas A&M, the Colts’ use of the term “12th Man” helps the team sell tickets and merchandise. Because A&M owns the trademark, A&M wants a cut.

It’s strange that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ever granted A&M the trademark in the first place, because A&M didn’t originate the term. The first known use of the term “12th Man” to describe the fans of a football team was in 1900 in a magazine published by the University of Minnesota, which referred to “the mysterious influence of the twelfth man on the team, the rooter.” Other college football teams also began using the term “12th Man” before Texas A&M famously began its use of the term to commemorate a student who came out of the stands and suited up during a game in 1922. It was only in 1990, after other football teams had been using the term for decades, that the Patent and Trademark Office gave Texas A&M the trademark.

But Texas A&M does have the trademark, and as a result the Seahawks pay Texas A&M for the right to use the term. Now Texas A&M is hoping to use the courts to force the Colts to pay up as well.

Had no idea the Seahawks pay A&M to use it.

If they just went for two FGA on the 4th down drives they would have been up a point 23-22 :smh:

Scumbag Jim Irsay at it again.

Didn't think it would happen, but I'm happy to see my dude Rex get some revenge on his former employer.

He's gonna ride that win until the wheels come off though.

From the College Football thread, I guess Cowherd is saying Saban is looking into the Colts.

I think it will definitely work if that happens.

2-3 championship runs for Luck/Saban.

You ain't kidding. Guy acted as if he won a playoff game last night :smh: .

Bitter? I definitely am coming off that way. But real talk, Rex had the great 2 seasons with us and then it just went downhill the next 4. His time was up here, and he took it as if he was ran out of town but meanwhile, he did nothing to support his cause and keep his job safe.

Neither did the guy that was supposed to construct the roster and put pieces around Rex to coach up.

Idzik's penny pinching *** failed Rex because Idzik didn't hire him so everything starts right there.

That whole mess with Revis preferring to join the Jets after the Bucs cut him and Rex wanting him back...only to be turned down by the GM/Owner is what sealed the deal for me.

And then they clean house and bring in a guy that goes on a spending spree.

His flaws as a coach will prevent him from ever being elite, but I respect the fact he gets his guys to play hard for him even when there's nothing to play for.

I agree w/ you about it being time to move on though. Both sides needed a change.
