Carr's draft stock was low almost purely because of his brother's play in the league

No way the Texans were drafting another Carr at #1

Not only his name but coming out of the Mountain West as well. I know I was skeptical as hell on draft day about Fresno State, the competition he'd faced, etc.

It wasn't until I started doing a little research that I began to stop doubting. I remember being shocked at how impressive most of his film was and the number of no-name YouTube analyst who had him as there top QB or right behind Teddy.

What's Dion Jordan doing?

 was that supposed to be a stab at me? Aww you upset that we're getting on your school's former QB?

Ummm no, I was just thinking about recent high pick defensive lineman busts.

Me upset at people picking on Johnny?

I pick on Johnny probably only behind Dmx and Stillin.

And you definitely know I pick at Tannehill.

I don't play alma mater favorites, if you're average or below average I'm going to say it.

yeah but they gotta let the kid play to see what they have in him. They aren't going to the super bowl or the playoffs so why not let him to cook to figure out if you need to draft yet another QB next year

I agree with this

He looked ok for one half vs the Bengals, they made a few adjustments and he couldn't get a first down
He's looked average. He won't lose you a game, but he won't win you one either. That's not what you're looking to get from a 1st round selection

agreed, but they should've been starting him from week 1.

at least let him play some meaningful games instead of 6 throwaway games at the end of the season

Given the 3 games he's played this is exactly the kind of flashes you wanna see out of him and is what was expected out of him. He hasn't been turning the ball over either. It's a hell of a play that any great QB would have been praised for. All im saying is its stuff like this amongst other things that are showing steps in the right direction of development. Definitely doesn't mean he's for sure gonna be the goods or anything.

I just dont think there's alot to criticize at the moment.

Browns also have the worst offensive weapons in the league. Could have just taken Watkins but insisted on trading back for Gilbert lol.

Dwyane Bowe lol

God that team sucks

Barnidge has been real nice. I can't tell if he's under the radar or not. Haven't seen him get much acknowledgement but I could have also missed it.

The fantasy football world has definitely taken notice, haven't seen that much acclaim otherwise.

That Clowney, Mack, Carr draft looks real interesting right now.

Never will I understand blaming players for getting hurt.

He's buns when healthy too

Yeah that's thing. Even when he's playing you don't even notice him on the field. All that talent...

Well this isn't true at all. He's been pretty good when he's played.

If by pretty good you mean making plays and having a impact then hell no. At times you forget he's even on the Texans.

Clowney has been a major factor for the Texans, when he plays.

His on the field play is not the issue. You're wrong.

Dude was primary a blocking TE with us for 2 years. Now he's flourishing. Damn him and Greg should've been way more of a threat then they were.

Statis22 is pretty spot on in regards to defensive linemen and I believe he's from Houston so he may have a point.

Me being from Houston shouldn't matter, he had been the Texans 2nd best defender this season when is essentially his rookie year. When he plays he's been an impactful player...........when he plays.

Dassit

Exactly. It'd be one thing if Clowney had a hang nail and decided to sit out. If a guy is hurt a guy is hurt. Some dudes can't take the pounding of the NFL, I can't see blaming them for not living up to the hype. It's not like he was hyping himself to be a great player.

I mean...

“Once I get to the NFL my career is going to go up,” he said. “I want to be one of the best. I want to be one of the greatest of all time.”

So basically, Clowney actually does want to be one of the greatest unlike what you originally said?
