In 1999, Faulk was 5th in rushing, 1st in YPC, 3rd in 40+ runs, 4th in 20+ runs, 8th in receptions, 21st in receiving yards

Relative to 2014... Thatd be like Justin Forsett (5th in rush, 1st in YPC) and Julian Edelman (8th in receptions, 25th in yards) in 1 player

Ian Kenyon@IanKenyonNFL Jul 27

In his first eleven seasons, Faulk averaged 1,688 yards from scrimmage per season.

Marshall Faulk had a four-year stretch from 1998-2001 where he had 8,992 yards from scrimmage and 69 touchdowns.

Yeah man depressing as hell

I was just sitting there calling all the deaths before they happened and shaking my head. "Don't get off the freeway Ray". "Don't stop under that errily placed underpass Frank." And then the message didn't even send?!?!

Cunnighams and Warners career arc aren't wildly different

Both have 4 Pro Bowls

2 MVPs vs 1 MVP

2 All pros vs 1 all pro

Is Cunnigham=Warner? I'm not saying that

But if Warner is a sure fire HOFer, Is it crazy to say Cunnigham is borderline?

FILTHY. :pimp:

Jets, and Brandon Marshall thoughts based on something I just heard on the NFL Network:

"In the last six seasons where Chan Gailey has either been a head coach or a coordinator, he's had one top-ten fantasy WR. In four of those years, his top fantasy wideout didn't even finish in the top 20 of fantasy wideouts. 8 TD in 2014 (T-14th among receivers). 34th most fantasy points among receivers last year."

I know this isn't the fantasy thread but thought those last few were interesting: Also, Marc Trestman, despite how badly things went internally, catered the offense to the pass game like we were expecting him to and Marshall still showed the decline. Just looked these up:

Games each season that Marshall has received double-digit targets:

2012 - 12 of 16 games
2013 - 11 of 16 games
2014 - 6 of 16 games (only played in 13 games)

Games each season that Marshall has received 6 targets or fewer:

2012 - 2 of 16 games
2013 - 1 of 16 games
2014 - 5 of 16 games (only played in 13 games)

The hard part of totally nail down is how much the time he missed contributed to his dip in usage and production, etc. Signed through the 2018 season, but only guaranteed like $9 million, seems fairly relevant:

2015 salary: $9 million
2016: $9 million
2017: $7.5 million
2018: UFA

Steve Smith Sr says he'll retire after this year. Hope he goes out with a bang
Dude would've maybe had a ring had he not skipped that meeting with BB last offseason

Again, Bettis averaged 1050 yards and 7 TDs per year

Those are about as average as it gets, if that.

Marcus Allen only had three 1,000 yard seasons in 16 seasons

he averaged 765 yards per season and 7.68 TD's
