Don't think he learned from his first go at it?
I just don't think that hard-***, control freak style translates to the modern NFL.

Also it's not like he tried and got fired the first time.  He gave up like a chump.

I think the only way I'd legit cry over a sporting event is when Miami U captures that national title :pimp:

So close 09 :frown: :frown:

OLB rotations are gonna be something serious next year....with Preston Smith, Kerrigan, and Galette in the fold??? Whoa boy... :pimp:

I see the thread went off-topic last night, but don't 'eem care. Good convo going IMO.

I *almost* had your traditional all same city lineup for sports teams, but moving out to MA and the Patriots had to go and **** that all up.

I've also cried over sports related events.

'01 World Series.

Cried like a lil' ***** TWICE in separate games. For two completely different reasons.

Closest I've came since then was last year's SB. I wanted to cry after it was all over, but I had no tears to produce since it's been a while...and of course I was also intoxicated.

By far the strongest feeling coming out of that night was the **** YOU wave I was on.

Anyone read that 'open letter' from King? Thought it was good even though a bit dramatic

you will see a grown man cry if the Knicks ever win a title.

I've the Yankees win their share of WS titles since 96
I've seen the Giants' last SB wins

I just want to Knicks to win one...at least one.

Dan Lebatard is ripping folks for how they jumped on the Bengals players. Said it was equivalent to how MIA U was ripped getting all those penalty yards back in the day. Basically saying there's a big racial aspect to the reaction that's gone overboard. Barely any mention of the Steelers coach that was out of control grabbing dudes dreads. Marvin can't control his players narrative when coaches like Parcells are celebrated although LT ran a muck. So on and so forth.

I mean, the Bengals players involved tend to consistently go overboard, the reaction is warranted.

However, a tad bit more shade should be directed at the Steelers and the refs as well.

Not buying the racial twist either, you can't compare what happened in the early 90s to today, completely different game & world we live in.

I agree with everything except the racial aspect. It's more of stereotypes of teams, like say whenever a Steelers or Raiders player makes a dirty hit, people call that a "good hard tackle" and don't get criticized as much as a player from another team. Truth is every team got a dirty player and it's part of the game.

No one in this thread made a big deal about the coach who pulled the players dreads. The only coaches most people fussed about were Marvin, Tomlin, and Porter. I actually forgot that happened until you mentioned it..

There was somebody on here right after it happened talking about how he hurt his ac joint and people were clowning him  lucky guess I guess
