"Brady should have just admitted it from the beginning" is the equivalent to, the NFL should have just said "we thought we had enough evidence and are upholding the suspension." I think...

Can the NFL suspend him for whatever reason they want? It would have been fine in the public eye to just say "we're pretty sure, uphold it." Let Kraft and Brady whine.
