If your fav team upped and moved to another city would still wanna root for them?

Why wouldn't you?

Exactly why only rooting for home teams is a stupid concept to begin with.

Teams move, people move, some states don't even have teams, root for who you want, and ride or die with them from there, wherever they go.

I think whether your a transplant fan versus a homegrown fan does play an important factor. I'm from GA, and 80% of my friends and family are Falcons fans. If the Falcons were to move to Toronto or London, they wouldn't root for them anymore; there would no longer be any connection. Many fans put up with terrible teams (i.e. Browns, Jaguars) because of the impact the team has on the city and community. One example is the Charlotte Hornets. Once they moved to New Orleans I don't remember those fans still being fans of the team.

Many feel teams represent the city or state. A move would no longer mean that.

I root for the Cubs. Has absolutely nothin to do with the city of Chicago.

If you are from Chicago, how do you choose which baseball team to follow?

Or if you from New York, which teams are you supposed to pick/root for? All of them?

I don't care about the cities, I care about the Teams. That's what brought me to them as a child, that's what will keep me there as an adult.

Well good for you but a lot of people choose their team based on where they live. The connection with your hometown team is unmatched

People root for teams for all types of reasons. In my case I was born in DC. I'm familiar with the history and players year in and out. Before the Internet and instant access age how did people follow teams in other places? I don't see how a person could gain a connection.

Since the Sonics left I still watch the NBA, I just root for/against players, not teams.  *shrug*

Don't know if I've ever seen the NFL hand out a suspension this fast. That's pathetic. They have it out for him. Roger probably dropping racial slurs all night long Saturday night. ****** ******.

Steelers players will face a couple fines paid by the Rooneys.  Well worth it for them since Shazier and Porter's actions got them the win.

I believe it was the teams that where on TV the most and those teams where teams winning over the years (Steelers, 49ers, Cowboys) and it's why I think those teams have fans all over.

I root for Detroit because of the Georgia-Georgia Tech TD connection.

Also, the year Calvin was drafted by the Lions was the exact same year Vick was gone from the Falcons.

The team swap was justified in my eyes. I was 15 at the time.

Bingo.

That's a god damn horrible argument. If you live in Seattle and still root for the thunder than you probably enjoy other dudes banging your wife

Um, ok.

So if the Hawks and Mariners leave Seattle, you just stop watchin Sports?

Do you only watch teams you root for? But yeah I would stop rooting for them just like I have with the thunder

THREE GAMES? That's insane. That dude on the Steelers OL still has the most malicious helmet to helmet hit I saw all year and he wasn't even suspended for it. Don't even think he was flagged, was he? Straight up could have broke that dude's neck and he wasn't even doing anything to him.

Was definitely the worst hit I've seen all year. No punishment at all.

   @ anybody having a problem with a repeat offender getting suspended.

Same guy going around twisting ankles
Same guy slapping dudes in the nuts
Same guy giving out multiple helmet to helmet hits
Same guy going after QBs knees
Same guy who spit on an o-line man
Same guy who told said lineman to "watch his knees" after he spit on him

This is the guy you all are defending? Wow

Did Suh have this many apologists on here? I'm curious.....

. Dude is a true POS man. I'm all for physical football and playing with a high motor but he's just ******* dirty. Idk how anyone can defend his actions

Jeez Skurt and I are on the same wavelength

I'm sick of this **** man. For the past two days I've been watching these dudes ***** and moan about the Steelers "getting away" with **** when it's been a two way street ALL season long.

And let me be clear, I'm NOT defending anything the Steelers players or coaches have done. But holy ****, enough is enough.

It took YEARS for Suh and I think what they are doing to Burfict is worse.

At least it was in the field of play.

He didn't stomp on a *****!!!!!!!!

Is the outrage the fact it's a penalty or the type of plays Burfict does? If folks are mad at the penalty I get it. If their mad at the injury risk involved then every defensive player before the rules changes should be seen the same. Dudes act like because the league says so now suddenly hits to the head could cause health risk. We've known this forever.

LT, Lott, Seau all bad people like Burfict.
