Law firm no. Place of work with a dress code yes. There was once a time we didn't have the stupid celebration rules. What happened? Dudes started hiding stuff and using props.

I'd bet any amount of money if the NFL did away with the dress code madness will ensue. You can honor a person in any number of ways. It just so happens the one way they choose to do it is breaking league rules.

People could simply place something in there sock every game that can't be seen but they wanna put it somewhere visible for all of us to see. It's not a thing for us. It's personal. As long as you know it's there why do we need to know?
I get what you're saying i just don't agree when it comes to a dress code for sports in general. When you say madness would insue what is that? If thats just players wearing whatever color gloves, mouthpieces and cleats they want I wouldn't care at all, I actually want that to happen. The only thing IMO that should be against the rules is altering or adding things to the Helmet, jersey, pants, socks.

EDIT: The celebration rules are understandable because that affects the game (getting to the next kickoff and stuff like that) but colors of cleats and other accessories do not affect the game.

Oh, I know.  I didn't want to name names.  They're in here patting each other on the back and ish like "great point homie!"

I'm confused. Maybe yall can help me out.
So when the dude down the street kills his wife to be with his side chick, is that not domestic violence?
Mainstream America is actually spinning this like the first domestic disagreements to ever occur are the Ray Rice and Greg Hardy incidents!!!

I'm amazed at how Subway Jared having sex with kids lasted two days, and two adults having a physical altercation has lasted nearly two years.

It's just the stupidity of the Internet and the PC climate were in. Anyone who needed these cases to realize domestic violence is wrong is a idiot.

You have a bunch of organizations using these incidents to further their own agenda. Let a nobody next door have this happen they'll forget about it next week. A celebrity on the other hand is a opportunity to spread their self righteous message. Animal rights people come to mind in Vicks case.

Two days? It's been in the news non stop and he hasn't gone to trial yet

The lengths you guys go to defend Hardy is astonishing

What the hell do they even have to do with each other?

Jared is in jail, also.

"Someone did something bad so therefore we shouldn't talk about someone else who did something else bad."  Smart.

I also think we should not talk about Greg Hardy because Hitler killed six million Jews.  Why haven't we talked about that today?

Same ones enraged about this have no comment about that cop tossing a teenage girl like a rag doll [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

Personally dislike both but it's funny seeing some ignore one but get a hard on when a black man does it

I know these isn't directed at me cause he's not on my favorite team but during the offseason many other Falcons fans where giving me so many sorry excuses why we should try to sign him.

The things people will overlook so the team can get a few more pressures and sacks

Subway Jared been in the news non-stop?
Let me do some quick research.

Research complete. Not enough media attention for the severity of the crime.
Dude had sex with kids. Should be on TMZ every night.
Do you realize how many times that Ray Rice video was played?
That's the kind of coverage these pedophiles should get. A nonstop media onslaught!
But it ain't gone happen. Never has, never will.

I don't think anyone condones what he did. The question is or I thought was should he be allowed to play. I get on the anti Vick crowd because he's payed his debt and should be left alone. I feel the same way about Hardy. Debt has been paid. What more do people want Jerry or the league to do?

you must have missed what Jerry Sandusky did

so because Jared is a pedophile, Greg Hardy should get a free pass? what kind of backwards *** logic is this?

What you talking about Malcolm X? We have NEVER discussed that in this thread. Don't go down that path.

You're the one out here talking about law firms.  I'd sure as hell be fired from my job if I did this.

Also this is a football forum

of course we're not talking about Jared Fogle.   Like Stillin said Gerry Sandusky was rightfully a bigger media scrum than Hardy is or ever will be.

I don't get what "law firms" reference means. Two different subjects. NFL dress code isn't the same convo as domestic violence.

You lost me with your response to what you quoted.

I get it now. You'd be fired if you committed the alleged crime Hardy did. Hardy did lose his job. He doesn't play with the Panthers anymore.

What is this dream world folk live in where if you commit a crime you should never be hired again by anyone?

Someone who did what Greg Hardy did would be fired from a law firm or most professional-level jobs whether or not he settled out of court and "paid his debt".

The notion that Hardy paid his time just like Vick did is ridiculous

I'm sure whatever the cash settlement Hardy paid the woman was just a drop in the bucket to him.

Vick had his freedom taken away by doing time.

Those two things are not even relatively close

Did I say that?

However depending on your crime you may well lose access to the highest level of your given profession, which comes with the highest standards and most scrutiny.

And depending on your crime that might be completely fair.
The notion that Hardy paid his time just like Vick did is ridiculous

Word...  There's a very reasonable argument that Vick paid more time than he should have.  No way you can make that argument for Hardy.

Ive said it multiple times, Hardy being on the Cowboys does not have any effect towards my point of view in regards to this situation because I speak on a lot players that aren't on my team.

I never said anything about condoning his actions.

The problem is, we got a bunch of NTers who can't handle others going beyond what the surface shows. They result to lame *** comments like calling people "idiots" when they don't agree with their views instead of engaging in an articulate discussion.

No. Sometimes a spade is a spade. When you say things like "those bruises don't look black & blue" or "she might have hit herself", well sir those are idiots.

If I say, "those little boys shouldn't have gone with a stranger, so you can't blame Jerry Sandusky", would that be going "beyond the surface?

Some stuff is just stupid, idiotic ****.
