if Hardy wasn't on your favorite team would you condone his actions?

Ive said it multiple times, Hardy being on the Cowboys does not have any effect towards my point of view in regards to this situation because I speak on a lot players that aren't on my team.

I never said anything about condoning his actions.

The problem is, we got a bunch of NTers who can't handle others going beyond what the surface shows. They result to lame *** comments like calling people "idiots" when they don't agree with their views instead of engaging in an articulate discussion.

No. Sometimes a spade is a spade. When you say things like "those bruises don't look black & blue" or "she might have hit herself", well sir those are idiots.

If I say, "those little boys shouldn't have gone with a stranger, so you can't blame Jerry Sandusky", would that be going "beyond the surface?

Some stuff is just stupid, idiotic ****.

Why not ask that man, if he's serious and not trolling, why he feels that way instead of resorting to personal attacks?

Your what if scenario about Sandusky is nowhere close to what I mean in regards to going beyond what's provided on the surface.

I don't think anyone condones what he did. The question is or I thought was should he be allowed to play. I get on the anti Vick crowd because he's payed his debt and should be left alone. I feel the same way about Hardy. Debt has been paid. What more do people want Jerry or the league to do?

How was his debt paid, he didnt go to jail

Vick had to pay and go to jail

2 quick personal questions:

Do you feel that Greg Hardy is the victim in this situation?

Do you think he physically assaulted her or do you think they are self-inflicted?

Victim had a chance to show face at his appeal and went missing. Apparently he paid her off and she accepted it. End of story. The people against Vick don't believe he's paid his debt. Who are we to say they are wrong? There is no universal justice system.

That's it. There is nothing more that can be done. Unless you want to go find him yourself and do something what's the point of riding dude? The law isn't fair. The matter is closed.

I'm not gonna ride dudes back for the rest of my life in the hopes something more happens to him. I hope he's gotten help and changed his ways. That's the best thing we could hope for at this point. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Josh Gordon is a victim

And so is Mark Sanchez for constantly watching Sam Bradford fail and not getting his chance to shine

you must have missed what Jerry Sandusky did

so because Jared is a pedophile, Greg Hardy should get a free pass? what kind of backwards *** logic is this?
Although your reading comprehension is extremely poor, your helping validate my initial post and views I've posted before.
If Sandusky hadn't been affiliated with Penn State and Joe Pa's unexpected sudden death doesn't happen, it would have been off the front page in no time.
The American media continues to make athletes and athletics the scapegoats for everything that's wrong with mankind.

Kid breaks his leg and gets a concussion at the playground, you never hear about it.
Kid breaks his leg and gets a concussion during a high school football game and it's front page news, or makes local and even national headlines (depending on what else is hot news at the time).
And the topic of concussions in sports starts spinning it's wheels again.

I don't get these put Hardy under the jail comments.

DV cases happen all the time, how long do you think those dudes are in jail for? Cases where the dudes actually beat the stuffing out of the woman, they get 30-90 days if it's their 1st offense.

I think this groupthink fake outrage got some of y'all in your feels.

Maybe put him under the jail is a little to colorful of a comment but dudes who do what you described should not get 30-90 days only, thats crazy to me that thats all the time they get for doing something like that, its not even a year.

Just because thats how much time someone usually gets for that being a first offense with a crime like that doesn't make it right.

I don't really need to mention this but i'm also someone thats a huge supporter of criminal justice reform but domestic violence cases like the ones you described should have time much longer than 90 days.

my lord

and if Greg Hardy wasn't associated with the NFL...

do you see how it works? probably not but I can't get out a crayon and color in the lines for you

Why do you want more people in jail for?

We already have largest prison population in the whole world.

When people are in jail, you end up having taxpayers paying for them and aren't putting anything into society.

You only want to use jail for people who are a threat to society and I don't think that fits this case.

I don't want more people in jail in my post above I said I am for criminal justice reform when I edited it. I believe people who committed non-violent crimes should be released or at the least given much shorter sentences and actually given an actual chance and proper guidance so they can re-enter society and contribute. But that does not mean people who commit actual violent crimes like domestic violence should get shorter sentences. Someone like Greg Hardy and people like him may not be a "threat to society" but he was to one person and harmed that person, that is a violent crime and that deserves a sentence longer than 30-90 days like you mentioned in your previous post. People like that don't have to be in jail for life but surely you would agree they deserve a sentence longer than the 30-90 days you mentioned people in DV cases normally get.
