His conviction was appealed and dismissed...so I don't think it's fair to say he's guilty.

People appeal their convictions and sometimes win.

All she has to do is show up and it's the same result. He was found guilty on EVERY charge. Not like one out of six. Every charge, he was done. So it's more than fair to say, he was guilty.

I can't answer those, who knows. I do know that no one is ever forced to better themselves, it has to come from within. Regardless of the reasoning it's never a bad thing to see someone learn and grow from a horrific incident

I tend to believe Rice has genuine remorse and it's not fake, doesn't mean he deserves a second chance in the NFL

Hardy seems to think he is the victim in all of this

Tony Pike was on local Cincy radio a day or two ago, said Hardy was not a good dude and he was not surprised at all when heard the allegations (shrugs). Dude just seems off kilter

What kind of logic is this? "Yeah DV sucks, but rape is worse." These are all deplorable actions and NONE of them should be condoned at all.

It's mind blowing that people actually come out of their mouths and say this crap, man. As if I'm supposed to look at a woman beater in a more favorable light than a rapist.

Has there been more emphasis placed on DV in the last year? Yes, but why is that such a bad thing? Is there truly a such thing as taking that topic too seriously? I get it, there's two sides to every story and all that, but the lengths some of you go through just to defend this piece of **** is amazing.

"Well at least he didn't rape a woman" is what that sounds like to me. What kind of **** is that?

Bet that if it was rape, you'd still have Hardy defenders on his side trying to sully the victim in order to make Hardy look like the victim  :smh:. Word to the Cosby thread...

Just asking, and I agree with your last sentence.

Ray seemed genuinely sorry. Hardy's situation is 10000x worse to me. Ray Rice got caught cheating, his joint was drunk. Started hitting him in the elevator and he snapped, hit her once. Might have been a hard *** hit but it was one punch. Hardy's was multiple blows, choking and tossing around.

But she didn't show up though.

It's like it's more important to some of y'all than it was to her.

to be fair to her, we have no clue what her emotional state was in all of this.. a lot of rape victims either don't report what happened to them or don't follow through with everything because of the physiological trauma that has happened to them.. they just want it all to go away and forget anything ever happened

I obviously have no idea what the victims mental state is and was in this whole thing.. but for her maybe the ordeal of going through a trial again was too much and she saw the settlement as an easy way to get the whole thing over with

there are also other possibilities, obviously

That's kinda what it looks like to be honest.

Nicole Holder did not release these photos, I could understand where most were coming from if she did.

She was probably in the process of trying to get over the situation, granted she will never forget it, but do you really think she wanted this situation to be back in the spotlight again over 18 months later? Based on how they handled the case, I don't.

Putting the photos out, the day after the case was expunged, only makes it worse for the victim IMO. Greg isn't going to get cut, more than likely will be resigned by Dallas, and probably will not show any remorse considering he feels like he was also a victim in this situation. Things won't change with Greg until he believes he has an actual problem .. word to Brandon Marshall.

Deangelo Williams banged up, not sure who the backup QB is :smh:

Got some issues going into Cleveland

Exactly. Both are wrong acts but there's a difference between hitting somebody one time and beating the **** outta somebody with guns around. Ray was never involved in anything before that incident and after he seems 100% remorseful. This dude Greg Hardy is a habitual line stepper. Everything that comes outta his mouth is some dumb ****.

Not sure who got the worst of the injury bug this year. I would say it's between Pittsburgh and Dallas, giving the slight nod to Dallas because they were legit SB contenders when fully healthy.

New England

Feel for Pitt though, they've had some of the most impactful injuries

Were you in anyway apprehensive about Ben Roethlusberger playing for the Steelers?

I mean it was 2 alleged rape cases..There's probably a little smoke to that fire.
