I'll never in a million years understand why Jeff Fisher is a highly coveted coach. He's been about as average as it gets in this league, for a longgggg time.

He was a defensive assistant on the 85 Bears...he'll forever be able to get a job in the league after that

What? Sometimes I wonder how young some you guys are. The Tennessee Titans were relevant for a long time under Jeff Fisher.

Anybody know what the Packer fan said?

 The ignorance is unreal

He was a yard away from winning the Super Bowl

And Bill won a SB along with playing in like 6 AFCC games. Thus not the success of Bill come playoff resume

Oh I thought you were saying that Fisher didn't have any playoff success. I didn't realize you were comparing the two. Yeah Bill is head and shoulders above Fisher.

Yeah, just some similarities with style of team, keeping them generally competitive, etc

"**** Muslims!" "Death to Musims" During the moment of silence :smh:

This is the type of person I'd have immediately snatched up. Forced on a plain and dropped off in the Middle East by himself. I'd like to see him pop off then. Nothing is worse then a fake tough guy.

He was sorta the Bill Cowher of TN but never had the playoff 'success'

I was gonna say, he's Bill Cowher if you subtract the last few seasons from his resume

First you say that Fisher is "about as average as it gets in this league, for a longgggg time."

Then you say that "he's Bill Cowher if you subtract the last few seasons from his resume."

You do realize that these two statements don't make any sense together right?

I understand why Jeff Fisher has been a head coach for so long...he's likable, professional, has authority feel, coached in a small market and he looks will somebody management would know.

I sometimes don't understand why teams don't give NFL head coaches more of a chance to turn teams around. Like were Hue Jackson and Rob Chudzinski that bad?

Rob Chud was just in an awful situation all around so I don't put much blame on him and Hue shoud've never been fired imo

Jeff Fisher knows his football but at this point of his career he just knows a ton of people and has those connections

Chud will get another shot. Coaches don't usually get fired after only one season but then again, it was the Cleveland Browns.

First of all, I was referring to probably the last 10 or so years. Which is a longgggg time.

Second, it was already explained to you why the comparison was made so I really didn't feel the need to expound any further.

As mediocre as fisher is, I would hire him over John Fox every day
They are about the same to me imo
I find Fox's resume more impressive doe
He went to the Super Bowl two times, although he lost both times
And won a playoff game with Tebow QBing
