Well I mean Ray was something like the 4th overall pick
Kam was the 133rd overall pick

he was the 26th pick but still a 1st rounder

I just can't blame Kam for wanting to get paid what he feels his value is, the Ravens willingly signed Lewis to the biggest contract at his position in 2002 and they also restructured him in 2000 to give him a $4 million bonus

that's why I think Ray is out of turn to pull the "I wouldn't leave my boys" card

I honestly cant think this is about money anymore..it can't be

Not over $900k

This makes no sense

what you thinking it might be about? he wants to be traded?

Than why did Kam sign his contract?
Kam still has 3 seasons left on his contract
Kam was the second highest paid SS when he signed his contract and wasn't the second best SS at the time
Kam is still the third highest paid SS

I honestly dont know, I dont think he wants to be traded

but these reports aren't adding up

Why would you be willing to risk millions of dollars this year...for 900k next year?

The last report said a deal was in place a month ago and basically some petty actions squashed it.

I could understand if they flat out didnt offer Kam anything or lowballed him but that doesnt seemed to be the case.

It's Gods plan.
Russell needs to hit God on the speed dial and mediate this

I have no idea

I am under the impression he wants a better contract, NFL is the worst league for player contracts so wanting to get paid while you can makes sense to me

Maybe he feels outplayed the value of his contract and wants to be paid accordingly?

and he should be paid accordingly. if he turned into trash they would cut him in a heartbeat. i dont get players having loyalty to teams at all.

Maybe he shouldn't of signed such a long term extension then?
End of the day he's the one that signed his name and agreed to work for that salary

and I agree he should
#Seahawks & Kam Chancellor have negotiated in camp. They offered to pay him $8.1M in 2016, he wants $9M. $900K apart. No change for 2015

but I just think there comes a point where you compromise a little? 900k seems like a little in the grand scheme of things

And I agree. A lot of people fail to recognize this part of football. A lot of guys from that team got paid he probably sees the end game and he's trying to get some of his money moved up. They can cut him today and he won't see a penny of that money.

Than players should be signing short term deals. Like Revis

Just trade him to the Giants already. Probably tired of playing with attention ****** and divas.

is no guaranteed contracts. contracts dont mean that much in the nfl.

players do not see all the money that they contract says but  its all cool....

. why cant it work the opposite way  ? hes worth more , he should get paid more. im on the players side not the owners as far as dudes getting they money.

like I said he shouldn't have signed such a long term extension
No reason he couldn't have signed a 1 or 2 year extension and cashed out like crazy at the end

and he should be paid. only ones that have something bad to say is seattle fans. instead of wanting one of the most important dudes on they team to be paid well , they complaining about him for not "honoring his contract" ... teams dont honor contracts constantly  yet nobody says a word.

. yet they have no problem with russell getting paid like one of the best qbs in the L when he isnt one of them.....
