I'm standing firm on my sentiments that RGIII has or had the potential to be a great quarterback until I see a full year out of him in a new environment. What he did his rookie year doesnt happen by luck when playing arguably the hardest position in all of sports. I don't know what you expect to happen after nothing but blown out knees, dislocated ankles, concussions, terrible coaching, while being in a circus of an organization. Don't care if you dislike his personality and I dont care if i'm in the minority. There's nothing more important to a QB's success than a stable environment and good coaching. What he's gone through is far worse than Alex Smith did before Harbaugh. Alex Smith is what happens when potential is put in an unstable environment with terrible coaching. Best way to stunt growth. Rodgers and Brady is what happens when you are in a stable environment with great coaching.

really? youve never seen someone have an outstanding year but think its not going to last for insert whatever reason/opinion you have?

I mean you can have an opinion but there's no reason with factual basis to have claimed that RG3 after his rookie year would be what he is today.

I know some Giants and Cowboys fans may have held that opinion, but they just got lucky.

Well said

I called him overrated and a bust during his rookie year, ain't that right jjs07 jjs07
You also said Kirk Cousins looked good last Sunday :x

He also said Brett Favre would be elite in the NFL this season

Cousins didn't look bad. Washington blew that game. Cousins didn't look like the future of the team or anything like that. Thought he was fine though.

I said Favre would be elite this season? I don't remember saying that. "Favre could take Seattle to the SB" sounds like something I would have said last year.

Rick Mirer

Not really sure how you can project bust status after what is literally the greatest rookie QB season of all time but okay.

really? youve never seen someone have an outstanding year but think its not going to last for insert whatever reason/opinion you have?

So make your list...

Would love to see all the guys who had historic rookie seasons who fell off (according to you).

bruh its nonsense to think cause a player has one good or historic year hes automatically going to get better. dude was in a gimmicky read option offense.bad footwork , athleticism can only take you so far, besides the fact that he was fragile and you can tell cant take a hit. one good/great year and a bunch of bad ones but you still trying to hold on to one year . maybe hell have a resurgence somewhere else but i doubt it. he wasnt that good of a passing qb to begin with. didnt have good qb fundamentals , if you cant see that and are still waiting on him to be what he was one year thats on you . his first season was anomaly , they had to dumb down the offense for him ... nfl defenses were going to catch up and did.  to say that feeling that was was "luck" is ridiculous...

as ive stated time and time again.

2ndseasons are more important then the first. you cant catch people by surprise anymore which is why there are many one season wonders. lots of players have had them.

i felt the same way about kaep when he first bust onto the scene. only thing is kaep seems more willing to put in the effort to change , is bigger and able to take a hit better, more coach able , whether keep can be a  good passing qb remains to be seen but very possible. dont feel like its  possible for rg3 at all. it is what is . thats my opinion.

It's funny cause it's the same with dudes who try and call greatness off the bat.

Dudes were calling RG3 top 10 after one season and saying they would take Kap over Rodgers.

Body of work>

The fast release from MM8 was dope but that's it. The way it sounds is as if he broke 3 tackles and threw a 50 yard bomb off his back foot into a bucket.
Haven't you been screaming Watt GOAT defensive end for the past 2 years?

LOL

Michael Irvin was asked about Christine Michael during an appearance on 105.3-FM’s G-Bag Nation this week.:

"I don't know enough about him but Marshall (Faulk) told me, he said, 'Hey man, just listen. I'm going to say it, it's my job. I'll tell the truth. He'll be starting in a couple weeks. That boy is bad,’” Irvin said, per the Dallas Morning News. “He said, 'Michael, that boy is bad. I'm telling you right now.' He said, 'Man, he was hiding up there.

“They found something.' He said he's got dog in him. He's got that dog in him. I said, 'He got that dog in him?' He said, 'Man, he's got real dog in him. He got some real dog in him.'”
