[thread="629840"]In those plays though the ball is snapped with the defender caught jumping offsides... That's why they get to run the play.[/thread]
[thread="629840"] [/thread]
[thread="629840"]You're telling me that refs and opposing teams simply don't know the rules definition?  [/thread]

No, the defender causes the OL to jump early which is a false start and therefor a dead play and 5 yard penalty
stop embarrassing yourself and just look up neutral zone infraction

With Rodgers hard count and the O-Line there's a real fine line with the timing as to whether or not it should be a free play. I've seen Bahktiari move but that Center is just about snapping the ball simultaneously with Bahktiari standing. You can see how much emphasis they're putting into it in practice. Lindsley is looking for it and waiting to snap it as soon as that DE crosses.

I'd like to see some gifs of it the past few weeks.

Refs need to stop giving the Packers these free plays when it should be a neutral zone infraction

its only a neutral zone infraction because that clown Bakhtiari stands up and points afterwards.  If he would just stay still then it is a free play.
What are you talking about?

If the DE or OLB jumps and the OT doesn't move, then it allows them to get back onside for no call, or if they don't move and the defender comes across completely then the play is dead because hes unabated to the QB.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised seahawks fan is mad that his team couldn't control themselves enough to stay onside.

You don't even know the damn rules

Do you not know the rules either?

It really isn't close  dude stands up and points before the ball is snapped

So no one knows this rule in the NFL is what you're telling me.

And trust me I'm not embarrassed about anything as far as "knowing the rule" from a 120 page rule book.

Clearly if they're getting the free play, then someone knows more than you do, whos job it is to know more than you do.

or they are missing the call
Are you saying the fail mary was the correct call, since it was called by someone who knows more than you and who's temp job it was to know more than you do? :nerd:

Rodgers goes hard count and gets the defense offsides for a free play on a nearly weekly basis and I don't see opposing coaches losing their minds about it besides getting up their players *** about jumping.

Fail Mary was 1 play, and called by replacement refs at that.  There's no comparison here.

Go write an angry letter to Dean Blandino.

what the hell is going on in here, man?

A55 knows a rule and is mad that his team got abused last week.

Here we go, got a vine from last night that allows you to pause and play every time you click the mouse.

Hopefully it embeds for me this time.

Its pretty friggin close

the league should launch an official investigation in to this, performed of course, by an "independent" investigator. can't have the packers and refs colluding like this to jeopardize the ******* integrity of the game

neutral-zone infraction ‎(plural neutral-zone infractions)

(American football) an infraction in which a football player, on defense, gets into or crosses the neutral zone before the snap, causing an offensive player to false start. The penalty is against the defense, not the offense. It is a 5 yard penalty.

For you guys who aren't up to date with modern day football

Is that what you did?
Did you finally look up the rule?

Aaron just gets it. People need to understand.

Here's the other free play. After clicking play and pause this one is even closer. I had it paused where the ball was in between Lindsleys legs and Baktiari was farrr from standing up. We're talking milliseconds of his movement from when the ball was snapped.

Except the snap is already in progress during this screen shot:

And if LT has moved at all, its almost impossible to tell if he did in real time speed.  So expecting the ref to see it is unreasonable.

He isn't "standing up pointing" until the ball is 3/4 of the way to the QB.

Hes clearly offsides as the ball is snapped.  And its not a situation where the DE jumped and made the OT jump.
