Ravens put Lorenzo T on the IR and claimed Raheem Mostert off of the Eagles practice squad. I'm a huge fan of Mostert. :smokin :smokin :smokin

I picked up Bradshaw, but I have to see him in a game before saying he's the upgrade we sort of envision from a pass-catching standpoint. Yeah he broke his leg, but if his workout was so good why were the Colts able to sign him Oct. 13? Probably and theoretically - definite help to Indy's RB issues.

How's his pass-blocking if anybody knows off hand? Teams with terrible OL can always benefit from tight ends/RBs that can block well or chip on their way out on a route.

Awesome pass blocker. Will help out Luck so much on those dump offs like last year.

No chance my kid plays football, insane

Nice to see Nowinski doing his thing though

The more of these brain disease and CTE stuff comes out the more I believe that in the future this game will not be played the same at all, hell it may not even exist just to protect people

Sad to hear that this about him.

I used to be on the fence about letting my future child/children play but i'm sure I wouldn't want them to.

I used to think the NFL would have trouble in the future but I just dont see it anymore.

These CTE stories and the doc only feel like minor blips on the radar.

That Will Smith movie will almost be surely buried when it drops ( I think it also drops around Star Wars at that)

Kids with limited means will still take their chances of going to the next level via a Football Scholarship and a potential draft pick.

None of these stories have decreased the popularity of the game, at the end of the day we are all still here invested.

Sure, some of us will say we wont have our kids play, that doesnt seem like enough to swing the pendulum though

I thought youth football numbers were down a decent amount. I could be mistaken though. It will certainly be a long term effect, NFL and football aren't going away soon

You're right this is definitely helping keep the sport afloat, until another sport can rise to take its spot which I think is possible in the long term because anything can happen in the long term but it won't be anytime soon thats for sure.

I just have a feeling this sport may not stand the test of time unless the way its played at least physically is completely changed.

I think there is a chance of the league completely faltering by making it less physical/rule changes (an assumption because I dont even know what changes would actually look like if they were forced down that road)

This country is bloodthirsty for violence, It would be interesting to see how much of the fan base would stick around

@Elpablo21   I agree and i'd be curious to see how many fans would stick around too if that happened one day. But you're right if they do change the rules to make it safer it wont even be the same sport anymore because it seems at this point we may be getting closer to the realization that the sport itself is dangerous.

Some people think better training and education would help but i'm not sure it would because CTE (from what I know about it) are caused by the sum of the repeated little hits over time no matter where you get hit on your body it all adds up. So if its the fact that every hit over time little or big is what causes this I don’t think there is any amount of training and education or rule cahgnes to get around that and make it safer.
