Someone really compared Hardy's blow up to TB??? C'mon now

I didn't see that. My biggest problem is they keep showing Dez and talking about Dez. What the hell does Dez have to do with this? Why aren't they showing him going at the coach and other players? Dez was cool trying to calm him down.
The threads resident lurker made that connection a page or 2 back unsurprisingly

Also anyone who watched the full video will understand the full context and that Dez was the only player with the balls to try to calm him down.
TB has gone at coaches, teammates, and refs.  We've gone through this before. What is it about him screaming at people that it's leader ship but Jay, Dez, Hardy, are just being cancerous? All I ever got back was a dumb *** answer that Brady was a player coach.

- And I see some Superfriends member still taking cutesy shots, but only till someone else does so first. lol

[thread="629840"]There are no dots to connect. There is no instance where screaming at a teammate or coach and showing them up in front of everyone is leadership.[/thread]
[thread="629840"]Leadership is the exact opposite.  Not shoving , screaming, glaring down a player when they make a mistake.  Pulling them aside, acknowledging it, resolve to get better. [/thread]
[thread="629840"] [/thread]
[thread="629840"]Jordan punching Kerr wasn't being a leader. TB screaming at everybody within earshot isn't either. You guys just look hard for dots to connect because they're good.[/thread]

If I was your leader, I'd pat you on the back and tell you how good you do and if you mess up, I will put my hand on your shoulder and tell you to "go get 'em next time." Someone else though, may not respond to that...In fact, may look at it as weak. Sometimes, your leaders need to get in your face. There isn't just one way to lead. Especially not when you're dealing with a multitude of personalities.

Do you really side with Hardy here? Or is it the superfriends you're after?

he wants Brady to be treated the same way as Hardy, Cuttles, Dez, etc...one shouldn't get a pass while the others get criticized

i will add that Brady was criticized for glaring down receivers. he gets asked about it after games and admits that he needs to keep his emotions in check and do a better job staying composed. he admits he handled situations poorly. ADMITTED it. to the media. to everyone.

that's the difference to me. Hardy's post game was basically him being an ***

Hell no. Showing up a coach sets extremely bad precedent. How are you leader smacking stuff out your coaches hand in front all the other players?

All you've done is reinforce that if you're good enough you can do whatever, including having a complete lack of respect.

I see what GSM is saying.

Hardys thing vs the Giants wasn't bad to me. Nobody's looking for him to be a leader, they looking for him to be a dog and that's what he is.

Coaches expect a different types of leadership from different positions.

You sound a little soft man. It's not all Kumbaya and stuff.... kids get glared at at the pee wee mighty mite level.

We're talking about the peak of the sport. **** happens.

What Hardy did isn't comparable to yelling at someone in a mean voice.

So what's the difference when it's TB, Dez, Jay, Hardy? How come it's judged differently?

@donovanjmcnabb: So with another move being made on offense can we now put M Stafford in the same class as J Cutler? Coach killer?

The difference is Hardy was 100% out of control. No composure what's so ever, succumbed completely to his emotions. That's NOT leadership.

When it's crunch time and Tom Brady raises his voice at a teammate or in a heated exchange with a coordinator, he's not out of control, even if you'd like him to address people in a tone you're more comfortable with.
