Speaking of Pre-Draft Buzz, here's a nice 2013 grade and redraft by PFF:  https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/10/28/grading-and-re-drafting-the-2013-first-round-picks/

Has to be one of the worst drafts ever, right?  Ziggy Ansah easily the best player taken in the top 10.

Personally I will never trust an MLB (or an O-lineman for other reasons) called a "safe pick" ever again.

I still don't see how Aaron Curry didn't become a perennial Pro Bowler. Heck he was out of the league after a few seasons. My mind will never understand.... I won't ever accept it... I still hold out faith on a miracle....

I called it at the time. I hated the pick. All my Seahawks fan friends were like "he's the best player in the draft" and I'm like "BUST".

Although, I should say that the Seahawks were such a mess at the time I didn't think anyone was going to help.

William Gay fined for wearing purple shoes to bring attention to domestic violence issues

William Gay has drawn a fine for wearing shoes to honor his mother, who was killed in an act of domestic violence. The NFL continues to miss the forest for the twigs.

Gay's mother was shot and killed by his stepfather when Gay was 7 years old. Gay wore purple shoes to draw attention to domestic violence issues during this, Domestic Violence Awareness month. But said purple shoes are not part of his regulation uniform, so Gay was fined the requisite $5,787.

Gay is fully aware of what he was doing by wearing the non-regulation shoes, and indicated that he hopes the NFL will donate the fine to groups dedicated to reducing incidents and effects of domestic violence.

It's comical at this point.

So... Hold up

The NFL has gone above and beyond to act like they care about domestic violence after the Ray Rice video and then they fine somebody for honoring his mother who was killed?

What are they thinking?

they have to hold their stance on the uniform codes. same with them fining d Williams for wearing pink. if they let him do it then they have to let everyone do it.

I don't agree with it but I understand why the fines are being given out. But the plus side is by being fined they are making the news, which is drawing attention to the reason they are wearing the colors in the first place( domestic abuse, breast cancer). and on top of that the fines get donated to a charity the players chose, which I'm guessing will be something to do with domestic abuse and breast cancer.

So realistically the fine can be looked at as a positive.
