Do you guys ever sit back and think "why am I still buying more #$%& that I don't need?" Why are you buying 40+ shoes when you already have your holy grail?

Today I was gonna buy a Michael Kors wallet because it was on sale. Went to the website again only to find out it was sold out. I was pretty bummed because I really wanted it, but I already have a wallet that works perfectly fine. But still it was a legit $%# wallet. Reminding myself it's only material things that will fade sooner than later helps me sleep at night. Anyways back to the point. Why are yall still buying new clothes/kicks? Instead of wasting thousands on that garbage you could book a flight to another state for a small vacation.

there was a point where i would buy sneakers wen i already had some ive never worn....dont do that anymore.

The clothes i have now are the ones that have survived the style changes...the selling....giving away..... over the years and things i really love and wear alot.

im a really simple guy don't need much.
Traveling is worth more than any material good imho

LMAO at these responses. I dodged a bullet on the wallet thank god. Things do happen for a reason I guess.

Honestly when I stop with one thing I start on another that's my habit. I haven't purchased any clothes since January 2013 when I went on a wild polo store shopping spree and maxed out my card at $900 (which I paid off in a year because I was spending money when I had no money smh). Rocking what I have for the past two years. But in place of no new clothes for two years starting stacking up hella pairs of shoes. I had a friend that I went to church with that always showboat to me everything he had for years (always Polo'd out hella Jordan's on deck). So I got my **** together and starting beating him at his own game but at the cost of becoming extremely materialistic like he was. I'm part African so people assume we don't carry ourselves well appearance wise (like what is shown on TV) when in actuality we do. I take pride in my appearance always so I try to mix things around sometimes but slowly returning back to the basic necessities....

Yeah man people looked at/acted different towards me when I started wearing Nike's, J's, Polo, Levi Jeans other types of streetwear. When I was in high school parents never got me fly for school. Had to make a pair of pearly white AF1s and black af1s from middle school last 4 years of high school while rocking bum clothes with them. Missed every Jordan release from 2004-2010. When I got out I got a job and 360'd my whole appearance. My church friend was blown away when I started showing up in Concord 11s, CG 12s, Obsidian 12s, Playoff 12s, fire red & military 4s, raptor 7s, Cement 4s, bred 11s, 3M OG 5s, Knicks, Royal, Shadow 1s, toro and green glow 4s. Everytime he saw me in the parking lot on Sunday's he peeped my kicks before he greeted me.
