Two different versions of the Jordan 1 High OG?

Does anyone know the reason why there's two different versions of the "1 High OG" Jordans that they've been releasing?

What I mean is comparing the 2013 bred, royal, shadow, black toe, etc... To the fragments, 2015 chicagos and shattered backboards.

Even though they're all supposed to be part of their "high OG" series I've noticed that the fragments, chicagos and backboards have a softer/(better) leather and overall better quality in my opinion. Along with small details such as the swoosh on the side panel not connecting with the point/bend of the stitching that crosses the swoosh, instead falling just below it. Along with the swoosh placement on the side panel in general placed lower down closer to the midsole on the 2013 retros.

Maybe I missed it somewhere and I apologize if this is an obvious answer, but yea just curious, thanks!

Starting at the beginning of this year, Jordan Brand "remastered" their retro line. This means that models were taken back to the drawing board and had new molds created that resembled the original molds more closely, were given better quality materials, had their quality control process stepped up, and given an overall upgrade in comparison to how things were.

Most of that has ended up being complete b******* so far, but the Jordan I Highs were actually given a new mold that closely resembled the 1994 retros and the leather on every pair (except the Dover Street Market, I guess) so far has been good to great.

For future information, just Google "Jordan Brand Remastered", while keeping in mind that most of it ended up just being big talk so far.
